AR 15

Quote:Marqise Lee picked #11. So I don't think he cares about uniform number.

Yep, and Allen Robinson now has 15.....and Allen Hurns is playing great so far and has 88.

Time will tell if the trend will continue with these 3.

Since you seem to have a ton of time on your hands tonight....

Can you tell me Robinson/Lee/Hurns...snap counts and number of targets?

Of all those recievers. Which ones were on a winning team? 07' is an outlier.

Who was the quarterback? If your going to use a "trend" you have to use factors to make it accurate. Otherwise, it's still silly as hell.

You are correlating jersey numbers to success. You are a clown.

I'm pointing out Jaguar history & trends with WR who chose teen numbers. All have been disappointments. Not one has been a success story.

If I was a WR I wouldn't go against those odds. Bad mojo.

Maybe you should find a Indian medicine man or sacrifice a couple of live chickens. Or perhaps a couple of witches to recite some incantations. It easily makes as much sense as this stupidity.

Of course, you know that. You're just putting on a little show for everyone.

We haven't had a success story at the WR position since Mark. If the numbers are the case. Let everyone put the same numbers on as the 99' team. 14-2 here we come!

And to think he is a grown man, probably older than most everybody posting on here. Thank god he doesn't have kids.

Because you're a superstitious fool!

Quote:Yes. Back when you weren't even allowed to wear a number in the teens as a WR IIRC.

Keyshawn Johnson played during the same years they did and his number was 19.

it was a special case for Johnson.... he paid fines to wear 19.

"Many exceptions to the rules have been granted. The most notable case may be former wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson, who was allowed to wear number 19 despite available numbers in the 80s (though he had to pay "fines" for the privilege). This, combined with the fact that more NFL teams were retiring 80s numbers, led to the league to allow wide receivers to wear numbers 10–19 in addition to 80s numbers in 2004."

Stephen Hill biggest problem was that he wore a low number.

Oh wait.

I just noticed a two decade long trend. The Jaguars have not won the super bowl when the majority of their receivers have #s in the 80s. This is a scary yet indisputable trend. I think we need as many non 80s receiver #s as possible so that this 20 year trend can be vanquished.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:lol, typical. I never said that jersey number alone dictates success. I pointed out the trend of failure/ bad mojo of WR that have worn numbers in the teens for the Jags.

I also said that if I was a WR on this team I surely wouldn't "temp fate" by spitting into the wind and choosing a number in the teens, based off of the coincidence.

Mojo and fate are not real things. Not to mention you are referencing players on a team that is completely different than the one that the jags have today..from the management down to the roster. It's also easy to say Jags receivers with low numbers haven't had a good track record because most Jags receivers with any number don't have a good track record.

Quote:

I would hope they have a sense of the history of the team, yes - or at least sought the knowledge upon becoming a member of the team.

Some players are/ can be just as superstitious as some fans.

I'd doubt they'd want bad mojo.

Obviously they didn't consider "bad mojo" a problem if they did "seek knowledge" on former receiver numbers in first place. You're really stretching this one a bit far.

I would be impressed if he could.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
