Bradley didn't say no...

Lets be blunt. I don't think you know what you are talking about. You are talking crazy.

Gabbert sucked in preseason.  Everyone always had to cling to the 1 throw he did well.  He was good in practice when he couldn't be hit.  Once he could be hit in the preseason game, he went fetal.

One of these years.............

This situation seems awfully familiar:

Boom.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

"I’m not saying Bortles will magically fix this broken offense. And we all know what happened in 2011, the last time the Jaguars summoned a rookie quarterback to start in Week 3." - Florida Times Union

Why the need to compare Blaine Gabbert to Blake Bortles they are two totally different types of QBs....

The "Gabbert was good in the preseason too" is the dumbest thing.

As a rookie, he was mediocre in the preseason.

His second year, he had one good drive against the Giants and then a good game at New Orleans (the year with Sean Payton). He then got absolutely destroyed in Baltimore.

His third year, he had a good drive against the Jets and got hurt.

He never came close to anything that Bortles did in every game this preseason.

But but but... they're the same!!!  Maybe we should trade Bortles now to save us the trouble, then sign Chad for 10+ years so we can constantly rebuild our Oline.

I think you are inventing some alternate reality of his time with the Jaguars.

Last year's preseason opener against Miami, Gabbert was 5/10 for 19 yards 0 TD's and 1 INT.

Wow. Just like Bortles. Scary.

If they think Gabbert was impressive in his first Pre-season, then what do they think of Bortles?

I think it's time to get rid of the ZBS. It's been terrible.

Gabbert's first pre-season:

9/16 85 yards 0 TD (5.3 YPA) 71 Rating

11/23 96 yards 0 TD (4.1 YPA) 59 Rating

6/13 52 yards 1 TD 1 INT (4 YPA) 50 Rating

9/18 132 yards 0 TD 0 INT (7.3 YPA) 74 Rating

OVERALL:

35/70 365 yards 1 TD 1 INT (5.2 YPA)   64 Rating

And before we get into the "DROPS" arguments... Here's what was said after his pre-season Debut:

Quote:

Blaine Gabbert had an inconsistent NFL debut and his Jacksonville Jaguars teammates didn't do any better as the New England Patriots won 47-12 in an exhibition opener on Thursday night.

Now Bortles for comparison:

7/11 117 yards 0 TD (10.3 YPA) 99 Rating

11/17 160 yards 0 TD (9.4 YPA) 95.2 Rating

10/17 158 yards 1 TD (9.2 YPA) 109 Rating

4/6 86 yards 1 TD (14.3 YPA) 149 Rating

Overall: 32/51 521 yards 2 TD (10 YPA) 110 Rating

He almost managed to complete as many passes as Blaine, despite having 19 fewer attempts.

In three preseasons, Gabbert was 89 for 155 904 yards 5 TDs and 2 INTs, 57.4% completion.

He had two games where he was 13-16.  He was nothing great in preseason overall.

Eleventh Doctor has a good comparison a post or two above this one in #216.

Over the course of one preseason, Bortles was superior to Gabbert.

He had a higher completion percentage for a vastly higher YPA and rating.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Forgetting his 1st game of his 2nd year? That might have been his best game as a pro, which should have been capped by a GW against the Vikings. Still, that isn't saying much and we all hope Blake has much more better games than that.

When is Bradley's next press conference scheduled for? I want to know when I should start drinking after he names Henne starter.
