Bradley didn't say no...

When asked if Bortles might play next week

Bradley said he did not consider playing rookie quarterback Blake Bortles[Image: icon-article-link.gif]. He was asked afterward if he would consider it next week.

“Right now, we’ve got a lot of things we need to correct,” he said. “We’ll take a look at that all on film.”

granted he'd probably get killed behind this line. Giving up 10 sacks? thats insane.

LOL The o-line wasn't resonsible for 6-7 of those 10 sacks. Henne everytime he has someone around him with a different jersey just tucks it like Gabbert and goes down. His eyes NEVER stay downfield. Any top 15 QB would have the ball gone as they get hit.

He really doesn't want the attention a QB controversy would garner

Give Bortles a blindfold. I don't want him taking any notes from Henne or this trainwreck known as the Jacksonville Jaguars

Giving up 10 sacks is part Henne's fault. How many times have you seen him roll out and throw on the run like Bortles does? He's a sitting duck in the pocket.

I've been saying week 3 or 5, the change will come soon enough Big Grin

my bad.. i didn't see the game.. just looked at the stats but i'm sure Henne was at fault for a few.

A couple of the sacks I was wondering if Henne had figured out that there was a blitz/pressure coming from a certain section of the D-Line. I honestly think if Bortles may have a better grasp of how to audible out of certain plays or recognize blitzes better than Henne.

At this point, I don't care if BB5 get's sacked on every play. It's time for this OC and QB to be tied to one another. Without BB5 being put in the game, the accountability for the OC is zero. There needs to start being some accountability on the coaching staff. It's time to put up or get out of dodge. Or whatever the saying is.

Henne was bad. But the entire team was bad.

I just think it's time to sink or swim. Based on the last 2 games, I think this season can now be seen as a wash. Might as well get the franchise QB acclimated to what he's in store for in 2015.

By the way, based on these last 2 games, there's no way we're a playoff team in 2015 either. Unless Henne is the same caliber QB as Luck...

6-7 sacks is downright awful, is it not?

Henne is a dink and dunk QB. Looking down field has never been his strong suit. He's starting for games like today where a QB is getting demolished. Right or wrong, it's better he's taking those lumps than to subject Bortles to that.

If they do opt to make the switch, I hope Fisch bothers to make some adjustments to the play calling to get the ball out quickly to force teams to defend us differently. Ditch the stretch plays with Gerhart. Establish some semblance of a running game to keep defenses honest.
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

It can only get better from here.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Sounds like Henne finally beat you down, FBT.

They roll Henne out quite a bit. That only works effectively if you can sell play action. When you look at the way teams defend us, they're not worried about us running. That's not going to change with Bortles in there. They have to commit to the run, and they need to quit trying to run outside with a between the tackles running back.

Keyword there is part. Other quarterbacks are able to take as much time as he did to look for an open receiver because they have better offensive lines.

My dad once told me, "A quarterback is only as good as his offensive line," adding even Brett Favre would suck with linemen like ours.

About 5 of those sacks were on Chad Henne.
