Apparently a team "plans to call" but as of yet nothing is brewing.

I'm waiting by the phone, waiting for you to call me up and tell me I'm not alone.  Cuz I want somebody to shove, I need somebody to shove me.

If they can get anything for him they better take it very fast.  The Jags should have a fire sell and get what they can get for any veteran.

In fact take babin, gabbert, and rackley and package them for a 2016 7th round pick.  Would be a good deal for us

I still believe we could get a fourth-round pick for Gabbert from a coach who thinks he can fix any QB.

Babin, on the other hand, I'd be happy with a six if he were moved.

Quote:Babin would actually be a pretty good fit in their defense, I'd think.

I too feel that Babin would be a good fit within Dallas' D. The real question is will he perform?

Babin is having a disappointing 2013 season so far. His penalties combined w/his play is telling...

Someone wants Babin? ....I would even take as little as a 7th for him.  He was picked up off waivers, not doing anything stellar, and is not the future for the Jags.

Rumor turned out to be bogus and Jason Cole retracted to say his source just meant that someone PLANS to call about Babin lol.

I hope we ship out Babin and MJD asap.

Who in their right mind would offer any draft pick for a 33 year old who isnt even playing well?

Teams realize that the Jaguars have no real desire to win games now or in the future and are hoping to take the talented players for really low draft picks, see Eugune Monroe for a round 5, maybe J. Babin we can get a round 7 (doubtful though).

We will probably get a round 6 for Paul Poz, and a round 5 for Maurice Jones-Drew.

Sure other teams would demand higher rounds for us to get them, but its a new GM & a new owner they can push around.

We got more than a 5 for Monroe.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

It's pretty common for teams to inquire about the availability of a struggling and rebuilding teams veteran players. I'm pretty sure GMs talk about a whole lot of things together. Stuff like this is just fodder to keep people like Adam Schefter around during the season. Remember when he was only relevant during the offseason? It's fun to talk about potential trades and people like it...it's part of the fun. Heck, baseball has had this stuff down for years.

We thought Eugene would get us a 2nd, and he got a 4th and a 5th. Knowing that I'd say the Jaguars are looking at a 6th round pick for Babin.

Yeah. Alualu and Branch are kickin some real butt. We don't need the measly two sacks Babin has... Obviously this team is in no rush to get to the passer anyway. Oh.. And speaking of stupid penalties, make Babin and Branch a package deal. Throw in Alllooooo for good measure. What's to lose?

Problem is.. It's like selling a 19" TV. No one wants them.

Trade him for anything you can get for him.  Well, not for a grilled cheese sandwich, but a 6th rounder would be nice and a 5th rounder would be awesome!

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.
