i hope we can build on this but I think hoyer left alot of plays on the field this week and tannehill, wallace and hartline won't make the same mistake. Open guys were underthrown, overthrown and if that had been a half decent qb we would have been torn apart.

Not taking anything away from the d though. They played very well and i think telvin smith will get more snaps which if he keeps this up could be great

I believe we can stop the run against most teams

we stopped bell and blount, sankey for the most part and now ben tate and a strong browns running attack. I have faith our d line can give the miami line problems but i dont think tannehill will be as easily rattled as hoyer.

Either way a close game, a turnover and under 100 yards rushing would be a good continuation and would give me faith the defense is starting to come together

To me, the player of the defense today was Poz.   He was a tackling machine.

Poz balled out today no doubt.

Most complete game this season for the D. Solid B+.

We beat the Browns. This proves nothing. We were gifted by two turnovers deep in the Browns' 10 yd line. This isn't impressive. Beat a real team without getting blown out by 20 points and then maybe they get credit, but c'mon.

Brian Hoyer twice said something along the lines of our front 7 "giving it to us"

something like "if you look at those guys on their front 7.... those guys are tough and they handed it to us."

He basically was saying our D-line kicked their as#, which is great to hear.  I tend to agree with him.

Keep in mind that in their previous five games, the Browns had never failed to score fewer than 21 points.  We held them to 6.

Well done!

We shut down arguably the best TE in the game. That in itself deserves its own separate hand clap considering our struggles against TEs.

Can't wait to see this line against the Cowboys' o line in a few weeks. That'll give me a good indication on where we stand as a group.

Tannehill? His longest pass of the season is 35 yards. He isn't very good.

Tannehill is more likely to leave plays on the field than Hoyer was. Hoyer has consistently outplayed him all season.

We have an excellent defensive line, and they played well, but on the other hand, Cleveland lost Alex Mack for the season last week, and he was the key to their running game, which was carrying their offense.   As for Hoyer, I've not seen such inept quarterbacking from an opposing QB in our stadium in a long time.   He was missing wide open receivers.

Towards the end of the game I commented to the fellow who usually sits behind me that if a QB better than Hoyer had been playing the score would have been much different. Our D showed up but they also benefitted from Hoyer's bad throws. We capitalized on their mistakes. That's still progress.

Did you even read what you typed before hitting the post button?  If you beat a team you are guaranteed to not get blown out by 20 points.

In order to rebuild, you have to destroy.

Thanks to Telvin Smith, man he really sparked things for the Defense!

Ultimately, the defense was consistently pressuring and hitting Hoyer, and it got into his head. Love our d-line
