Quote:Safety is a possibility, BUT our 2015 CBs are already in place in the form of McCray and Colvin...

NH3...
I wonder if they ever considered moving Gratz to FS?

At the end of Gus Bradley's 2nd year and the 30th overall offense should have every Jaguar fan concerned along with the Defense.

But the Defense is 27th in yards/game and 27th in points/game 20th in passing yards, 27th in rushing yards.  If they can just imrpove by 5-10 spots for next year than they can be average! Wallbash

And before I get the "well the offense sucks so the D was tired response," the argument works both ways.  The D probably was tired at times.  However, in the majority of games, teams only needed a couple TDs to beat us.  Most teams got their lead early and just coasted to victory.  No opponent was pushed to really ramp up their offensive production against us this year.

I mean part of that was the LBs (of course Telvin Smith only played in Nickle packages on rare occasions until half of the season was over, and Poz's injury hurt along with other injuries), Thomas sparked at times and failed at others, and Geno Hayes got moved around a bit.  The CBs suffered injuries but I felt McCray played better than Ball so that was probably an improvement, still the CBs didnt play as good as other teams in the NFL and have the 2nd lowest INTs with only 5 (which werent even from the CBs except one from Ball I think).  The safety play has been horrible, sure Josh Evans made a couple good plays but he wiffed on many & even was cut at one point only to be hired again due to injuries...

DBs are the weakest link on the team even more so than the horrible Oline.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
