2015 Free Agents - Who Do You Want?

Quote:Does Cleveland place the Franchise Tag on Jordan Cameron or will they try to place the Transition Tag on him and see what it will take to sign him? When they did that with Alex Mack, there was nothing we could do to pry him away because they could afford to match anything. I would hate to go through that again. We gave Mack a market-value offer sheet. Less than a day later, the Browns matched it. It's not like anyone's heart was ripped out.

"Houston has increased productivity in every season, rounding off 2014 with one of the better seasons in NFL history. He'll be highly sought should he hit the market - but all signs point to the Chiefs doing anything possible to not let that happen. Our base value of $13.665M per season ranks him as the 4th highest average paid defensive end, and the top paid outside lineback in football. When factoring in our prime percentages, our final prediction becomes: Spotrac's Prediction: 6 years, $92,670,276 • Average annual salary: $15,445,046 • Guaranteed: $48,976,579 (53%)"
For all this talk of signing Randal Cobb, my calculations suggest that the Packers have close to 24 Mil to resign their own players, which suggests neither Cobb nor Bulaga will be available.
One team that may be looking for cap relief in 2015 is the Dolphins with 1.9 Mil in cap space. I believe this lack of cap space will lead to the release of Mike Wallace who is in the 3rd year of a 5 year 60 Mil contract. Accordingly, I suspect the Jags could capitalize on the Dolphins misfortunes and sign both Mike Wallace - WR - 6'0" 200 Lbs - 29 Years Old in 2015 - 67 Rec - 10 TD in 2014 He immediately becomes the Jags deep threat Charles Clay - TE - 6'3" - 255 Lbs - 26 Years Old in 2015 - 58 Rec - 3 TD in 2014 Pass Catching TE in Jags Offense. BTW, my calculations suggest that the Jags have close to 63.5 Mil in cap space in 2015. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
My latest Free Agent Wishlist
1. Charles Clay - TE - Dolphins (would love Jordan Cameron but I think he is tagged) 2. Adrian Clayborn - DE - Bucs (been injured 2 out of his 4 years so I give him a prove it contract - like Miller and Marks) 3. Jason Worilds - Otto - Steelers (move him around behind the LOS and make him the sack master) 4. Perrish Cox - CB - 49ers (really turned it around with solid 2014 season) 5. Louis Delmas - FS - Dolphins (again Dolphins don't have the cap space to pay retain their own) Quote:My latest Free Agent Wishlist I think this kind of FA class may be possible. If we landed this many solid young pieces it would be huge for this team. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Considering the history of knee injuries for Louis Delmas, including a torn ACL in 2014, he probably will be available at a modest price. My guess is Delmas will sign another 1 year contract or a 2 year contract with a March, 2016 option. When it comes to dedicated players that are passionate about football, Delmas is at or near the top of any list. Unfortunately, injuries have been the norm with Delmas far too often.
A sidenote that comes to mind : Louis Delmas and Jaguars SS Johnathan Cyprien are both from South Florida and represented by Drew Rosenhaus. Both also were drafted at or near the top of the 2nd Round in their respective drafts.
Clay
Fitz Worilds Maxwell Gipson Barksdale
You are aware that Gipson from Cleveland is a RFA and thus would have to be cut by the Browns to sign him.

Not sure that the Transition Tag and RFA are the same. Please correct me if I am mistaken, but I thought signing a RFA meant giving up draft picks. I am pretty sure that the Jags would not give up their Rd 2 pick for Gipson. Mack did not involve giving up anything. The Browns either matched Mack's contract offer or they did not and he went to the Jags. Obviously the Browns matched the offer, so the Jags basically did all the hard work for the Browns in coming up with an agreeable contract for Mack.
Ideally Situation.
Mccourty-FS Iupati-G Barkside-RT Justin Houston-OLB Cobb-WR Would be absolutely chuffed with this, that or replace Houston with JPP but Houston would be my first choice this would likely add around another 40m in Cap? Leaving us in a nice position still
I wouldn't call 74/962/5 AWFUL, still would've led the team here...
Quote:Peyou makes alot of guys look alot better than they actually are IMO.. “Motivation alone is not enough. If you have an idiot and you motivate him,now you have a motivated idiot.” Jim Rohn
Sign Bobby Bushay. I know he's a little old, but he can tackle anyone if you make fun of him. He keeps the whole team hydrated as well.

Upon a review of the potential Free Agent market, I found three players that may be of some interest to the Jags
There are two FS candidates 1. Kendrick Lewis - FS - Texans (starter for Texans) - 6'0" 198 lbs - played 16 games 84 TT - 27 years old in 2015 2. Chris Conte - FS - Bears - 6'2" 103 lbs - injured in 2014, but played 16 games in 2013 - 90 TT - 3 Ints - 26 in 2015 also Derrick Newton - ORT - Texans - 6'6" 313 lbs - starter for 16 games - 2013, 2014, - 28 years old in 2015 given that the Texans had a decent running game - Derrick Newton could be an interesting player Lastly the teams with less than 10 Mil in cap space most to least Texans: 10.9 Mil Steelers: 5.2 Mil Dolphins: 4.7 Mil Rams: 3.6 Mil Patriots: 3.0 Mil Chiefs: 0.7 Mil 49ers: - 3.6 MIl Cardinals: -6.8 Mil Saints: -20.4 Mil Look for these teams to dump salary - especially KC to sign Justin Houston - possible cut Tamba Hali - Leo Candidate
There are also at least two 2nd tier WRs that the Jags might look at:
1. Kenny Britt - WR - Rams - 6'3" 223 lbs - long time Titan WR that averages mid 40 receptions each year - Rams signed him to a 1 year $500K contract - Sign a 1 Yr Prove it contract 2. Eddie Royal - WR - Chargers - 5'10" 185 lbs - best Slot WR not named Randall Cobb - experienced in punt and kickoff - still fast 2014 - 62 Rec - 7 TDs Will not cost anywhere near what Cobb costs but might offer value for Jags
Why do people want Barksdale?? He was garbage this year and wouldn't be an upgrade over Paztor
