Greg Roman didnt all of a sudden become a bad coach, the 49ers had a lot of turmoil this year from the front office, that played a lot into players and coaches 

 

Wilson has a lot of coaching experience, dont know how he would be as a play caller but everybody has to start somewhere, if they bring in a very good QB coach, he could be fine 

You're right, he didn't.  49ers fans have been complaining about him since at least last season. This year just got even worse.


He may do better here, but he may also struggle with a team that has poor OL play and no defined pounding running back (at least until Gerhart proves himself).

exactly Roman has a offense more designed for a pocket passer remeber he came with Harbuagh from Stanford where they had Luck. Kap is more the Wilson type of QB and would probably do better in a system similar to Say Jed Fisch.

 

Kaepernick dreams he could be the same level of passer as Wilson, but I agree with what you're saying. I think his offense better fits a pocket passer with the ability to make a play on the move (e.g. Luck and Alex Smith) instead a mobile QB who can occasionally make a play through the air (e.g. Kaepernick and RG3). Anyways most running QBs seem to get figured out after a year or two and need to be able to throw from the pocket for long term success, of which Kaepernick hasn't shown much.

Correct about Roman.

 

IMO, for 2015, QB coach is the most important coach on the team.  Developing Bortles goes above all else.

Bortles' ceiling is way above Shaub's. Heck, Bortles end of season play was as good as Shaub's. One more offseason and a better system will push him over that low mark.

That's why he's available in the first place.   If you want an experienced NFL OC, you have to take one that's been fired.

If I recall correctly a good chunk of the board wanted Roman as the Head Coach before Gus got hired.
