Just saw Kalil went out, didn't hear the extent. That sucks for Alexander. You guys can't catch a break right now

Came to post this. That's rough. I have a fantasy draft tonight and was targeting him. I hate drafting this early

Well, that sucks for Jordy. Don't care about the team, they've had Favre and Rodgers with an elite offense for decades. They'll be just fine without him, Rodgers will find a way to carry that team.

Steelers' Pouncey and Tuitt left the Packers game with injuries.

Update edit:  Pouncey out with broken ankle.  Needs surgery.

Ain't that the truth. The few teams with elite QB's, when a top receiver goes down, they'll just try to find a warm body that can halfway catch and still somehow make that offense work.

Thompson drafts well so they have guys like Davante Adams and Ty Montgomery behind Nelson. But there's still a drop off.

Yeah the health of the Dline is a huge issue and then we lose Alexander. It's not going well for us right now.

This is a huge loss for the Cowboys.  Especially,  considering how unreliable their other veteran CBs are and being in the same division with Chip Kelly's Eagles.   The Cowboys better hope that Byron Jones' Combine type of  workouts translate to the field.

After all the suffering Bradford has been through, I'd like to see him have a healthy and successful season

Bradford has so much talent. I'd love to see him stay healthy and finally have a real season. I just wish it wasn't for the Eagles

While this is horrible news for Orlando Scandrick and the Cowboys for the 2015 season,  the bright side in the dark cloud is there's a good chance that Scandrick will be a winning level contributor early in the 2016 regular season.    If the injury would have happened in November or later,  his 2016 season would be much more cloudy.    Also,  the Cowboys have the final 2 pre-season games this year to experiment in order to try to compensate as much as possible for the loss of Scandrick.   It would have even been worse for them if the injury would have occurred in the regular season opener.

One thing about the injuries is that those who want to end preseason games use that as an argument for not having them.

That's not a logical argument, as many of these injuries (including the most severe season ending ones) happened in practice.

I understand the arguments for not having preseason games and agree with a lot of the reasons for not having them.

But I can't agree with the injury excuse.

One could argue the injuries (and the perceived or real increase in them - not sure as I haven't seen numbers) are more likely due to the new CBA and practice rules.  Lighter/fewer workouts, etc.
