Could the Jaguars trade Scobee? Ryan O thinks so. (Scobee Traded to steelers)

Quote:If you don't have faith in your team scoring TD's over FG's, you probably shouldn't be a GM.
Agreed.

It sucks that Scobee is no longer a Jaguar, but it's not the end of the world by any means.  Clearly Myers has shown that he has a strong leg, and he's a young guy, so he's someone the team expects to be able to rely upon for several years barring injury.  If they could get value from Scobee in the trade (considering what they got for Gabbert, I'm trusting they did), this could wind up being a win-win for everyone.

The focus for this team doesn't need to be on how good our FG kicker is.  It needs to be about putting touchdowns on the board.  FGs have been the staple around here for a few years now, but it's time to change.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Quote:Scobee was at like 76% on field goals last year. 29 out of 32. Just saying.

Shhhh... don't let facts get in the way of sentiment.

Much rather get a draft pick for Scobee then flat out cutting him

If a 30 something kicker coming off his worst year counts as one of your best players, how much does the NFL really have to pay you to lose?!?

Relax, Snowwolf

So, of ALL the moves we have made, trading an aging kicker who is mentally shot is the catalyst for moving the team to London? Man, you are hilarious.

All this time, I thought stadium issues were the catalyst for franchise relocations.

Quote:Scobee has been a terrific kicker (sans the protection issues for him last year).

Heinz Field is a notoriously tough place for FG kickers, especially in the open-ended side of the field. It's tough to make long FGs there.

They closed in that end a little bit.  They did add more stands down there this offseason.  That may help a bit.

I love your avatar. It signifies the last decade of Jaguar football. I wonder if the guy in that video understands the magnitude of it and what a celebrity he is.
