Could the Jaguars trade Scobee? Ryan O thinks so. (Scobee Traded to steelers)

All a ruse, Khan was waiting to deal Scobee before they left for good.

Any word on the exact compensation yet?

Maybe the Jags can take whatever compensation they get for Scobee and add another pick (like a 3 or 4) and try to land a pass-rusher?  Watching them in the preseason, it's pretty evident they need help at pass rush. Worth a try anyway.

I hate to see Scooby Doo go but I somewhat saw the writing on the wall. His performance took somewhat of a dip within the past two years. He's missed a couple of FG that would've been in the bank sort of speaking. I honestly believe that Caldwell traded him because of his remaining value and the opportunity presented itself.

The youth movement continues at Everbank Field...

We got a 6th for Gabbert.  Pittsburgh is desperate for a kicker.  A 4th would be a no brainer for his services. There's no way the team could turn that kind of offer down.

Yeah Im sad to see Josh leave but if we some how get a 4th rounder for him...that is an easy trade. I just hope its true.

Scobee's been a favorite of mine for a while now, but this day comes for every single player, sucks, but it is what it is.

He had some really memorable moments, and I'm glad he was a Jag.

I don't think it will be a 4th. Isn't a 4th considered a mid round selection?

Most likely a 6th-7th round pick.

We are not getting a 4th or a 5th rounder for a kicker. At best conditional 6th based on playing time and will know trade details after Josh has physical and trade is finalized.

If it's a fourth-round pick, there's no question imo that it was the right move. Getting a fourth-round pick for a kicker is nuts.

That said, I sincerely doubt that it's a four. My guess would be a seven that can escalate to a six if certain conditions are met.

Yeah, considering they dont have a 5th, I would expect us to get a 6th at best if not just a 7th. But man I would love a 4th...
