Cause he was better then Vick in college. And seen him throw many deep passes on the run that were perfect. If you have a line that can't block you have to move and throw. And he was more accurate then Blaine doing it. That is why.

I agree with that.   The worst problem this team has is the offensive line.   Which is baffling, because it was supposed to be  greatly improved.   Which leads me to question the coaching.   Take out Cameron Bradfield and put in Luke Joeckel and they perform worse, much worse.  That doesn't make sense.

The Left Guard didn't play last year, the Center has been over the hill for 3 years, and the Right Guard can't protect against perspiration much less an athletic or strong DT. The Tackles are not the problem, though neither of them have been stellar. Changing the blocking scheme didn't help either, especially since MJD isn't a zone scheme back (not that it matters since he can't get his walker going once he has the ball.)

I am not getting the "Let's give Stanzi a try". You guys realize he's been in the league now for 3 seasons and has yet to see a down in a game. Not even to handoff. He was cut for Brady Quinn at one point, and backed up Kyle Orton and Matt Cassel.

The coaches have kicked the tires on Stanzi already by watching film of his previous play in college and the pros, and watching him practice. 

 

I don't mean to be glib or anything, but fans don't get to kick the tires on the players.  The coaches look at these guys and play the best ones they have.   Fans like to think there's a solution somewhere on the bench but the fact is, this team is pretty much set.  It was constructed in preseason  and  everyone has to live with it.  

 

Every time a starter stinks it up out there, the fans say, take him out and play the backup.  Well, in all probability, the backup stinks even worse.   What do we have to lose by trying other players?   We can play worse than the week before, and that's not what the coaches are looking for. 

 

So all this, "I'd like to see so and so play..." is just an empty exercise.   There's a better term for it, but I'd probably get a warning. 

 

Cause backups have NEVER come off the bench and out played the starter, come on you know better.

Probably why you see a desire for him to play. We haven't seen anything yet so we can make him our savior in our imaginations.

He's not good at handoffs.  We need to play to his strengths like pitching the ball.
