If that is the case, in hindsight, logic dictates you take Kuechly/Kalil in the first, Alshon/Lavonte in the second, then Wilson in the third.

Your team has some talent.  Yeah, you need a QB probably.  Some of Glennons throws made me think "What are you doing?!"  The team also needs some discipline.  But your team is in better shape, and you can probably take two QB's in the first 3~ rounds ala the Redskins without hurting yourself, while we really can't.  You also have some good RB's.  And a defense that's pretty good.  And you don't have your top WR with a drinking problem.

Good running backs on injured reserve. Mike James broke his left ankle, so he probably will join Doug Martin there. I knew it was bad when I saw the golf cart.

 

It is not just throws that look stupid. The stupidest thing Glennon did all night was run out of bounds behind the LOS with three minutes left.

Maybe not but I see him going top ten. I remember hearing Sunday Night Football analyst Rodney Harrison say he would take Manziel top 5 in the draft. I certainly would from what I've seen. He's behind Bridgewater but he'd be my next quarterback after him.

Why not Mariota?

I'll explain why not him from my perspective since everyone else is seem to be ignoring you. Mariota in my eyes is a project like gabbert but with better mental intangibles and upside. However, he seems to me like a boom or bust pick i.e. manziel so this organization needs to steer clear away from people like him if they can help it. Teddy on the other hand seem like a sure thing like Andrew Luck without his upside and with the talent we have at receiver including the raging alcoholic he can make us better immediately. Personally, we're a qb and defensive end away from competing for a playoff spot because every thing else can be solve with free agency and lower draft picks.

There's no reason to take Mariota with Manziel on the board, unless you're concerned about the off field stuff. I used to be really high on Mariota but after I watched more tape he reminds me too much of Gabbert. He has all the tools but neither consistency or a replete mental game.


In terms of QBs, it has to be Teddy. Maybe take Clowney then Manziel, but I doubt it.


I've heard good things about Derek Carr, I've gotta break him down soon as well.
