Well had it's ups and had it's downs.  Hard to believe the official website won't have a message board.  Stupid decsion.  Well I won't have much of a reason to come to this website anymore.  The Oh NO zone can go suck it.

I really do not blame them. If you were a new fan coming here to get some Jags scoop you would leave thinking that 90% of the Jags own friggin fans hate the damn team. Simply to much negativity to be seen as anything positive. Plain and simple. You all know who you are. I hope you're happy.

I was actually thinking the same thing.  It's similar to the iPhone vs Android thing over the years too.  Some people prefer more of a traditional MB format to that thing Reddit does.  Nothing against Reddit.  I'm sure it's great for some folks, but the flow of the conversations makes it difficult to follow sometimes.  That's why I never really bothered with the Jaguars related stuff there because it's too disjointed.

People said the exact same thing about Ask Vic...until he was gone and Oehser replaced him.  A lot of people like John Oehser.  Personally, I rarely read his stuff, and I was a regular reader of Ketchman's work.

Totally different thing.  Apples to oranges.  I use Linux only because I like it and prefer it over Windows and/or Apple.  While Reddit is a good site (I have actually been a member there for quite some time), it's certainly not a good replacement for a message board.

 

Speaking of Linux though... I would bet money that Reddit is hosted on a Linux server.   :thumbsup:

His column is a  filter and I no longer find it informative.  It was never entertaining.

 

 

I know. I rarely ever read it, which is saying something because I read every last word Vic Ketchman wrote on there. Vic was great, and I loved his historical insight.

Is there a rule that I'm not aware of where you can't link other sites? 

I've just noticed that multiple posts I've made with links to the Jaguars subreddit and Discord have had the links removed from them.

 

 

Hmmm... There is a rule against posting links to commercial sites, as in sites that are selling something or ask for money to view.

The sad thing about this (other than the loss of the forum which many Jaguars fans rely on, to keep in touch with felllow-fans) is that it's turning fans against the Jaguars organisation itself.


Hopefully FBT will find a way to set up this forum elsewhere, but it's going to leave bad feeling which was completely unnecessary.
