Quote:Where did you get that idea?Caldwell said it. How do you guys miss this stuff? http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/jagua...ury-083115 "We thought that it'd be touch-and-go for the opener, hopeful that he'd be ready. But if not, worst-case scenario (would be) around Week 3. And now really worst-cast scenario could be Week 4 as we're going into Indianapolis, if he has to have the surgery." Quote:Caldwell said it. How do you guys miss this stuff? That may have been what Caldwell was being told. He's not a doctor, and he's not the one who is signing off on clearing injured players to play. The medical staff makes that determination. What the front office says is based on whatever information they have at the moment they're answering questions. Things do change. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Broncos fans tried to tell us he was softAs if we had any control over the signing. Broncos fans were mad he didn't want to stay and sign a cheap contract. I'm not ready to call him soft at all... The guy got flipped in the air 360 style, and landed awkwardly on his hand. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Obviously things can change, but that doesn't make it any less frustrating. It is frustrating, but, people have this insistence on taking everything that's said literally as if there's no flexibility. Once it's said, that's it. With injuries that is NEVER the case. Injuries do happen. The injury he suffered is not one that I would consider a "soft player" injury since it involved broken bones and tendons requiring surgery to repair. Some here want to label him as such based on that, and it's absolute nonsense. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Should've signed Clay for cheaper, but our kindergarten minds can't comprehend Caldwell's brilliance
Quote:Should've signed Clay for cheaper, but our kindergarten minds can't comprehend Caldwell's brilliance Meh. Healthy JT > Clay. Just getting to that point that's frustrating right now.

Quote:The medical staff has to clear him. This was much more than just a bruise. Dont you think they are being a little too cautious? I mean Caldwell said worst case scenario was week 4
Quote:Dont you think they are being a little too cautious? I mean Caldwell said worst case scenario was week 4What is Caldwell's medical discipline? Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Quote:Dont you think they are being a little too cautious? I mean Caldwell said worst case scenario was week 4 Pretty sure that was before his unexpected need for surgery. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Pretty sure that was before his unexpected need for surgery. Caldwell said week 3 was the initial prognosis and week 4 after surgery. However he's not a doctor and those were just initial evaluations he heard. If he is still not playing by Houston then at that point I would be getting worried. It's definitely not him being soft as some people have said. It's a fracture in a bone that is for stability in the hand which he needs for everything he does on the field. The doctors want to make sure there isn't a setback by letting him play before he's 100%
Once the concern for risk of re-injury is eliminated, I'm sure they'll release him to return without restrictions.
The medical staff isn't being overly cautious. They're doing their job. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
By the way, I recall the initial reports when it was released that he'd probably need surgery saying that he'd miss 4-5 weeks. Based on that, he's pretty close to being on schedule. We are 5 weeks to the day of when he had the surgery. If he's a week late returning, that's a good thing. He is limited in practice this week, so odds are he'll be back next week.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Jaguars' TE Julius Thomas expected to need surgery on tendon in his finger and is expected to miss 4-5 weeks, per source. 2nd opinion Tues.
4:27 PM - 31 Aug 2015
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
