I figured out who Bortles reminds me of.

Quote:Hopefully bortles can lead us to a place where we get the benefit of the doubt. You guys can't take that away from garrard.I loved Garrard, but mudslinging after a fine Sunday of Jags football is the only way to survive the next 10 games with sanity intact. Quote:YOU are evaluating it in a vacuum. You claim the defense is to blame for 14 points that turned the game around, well you forget the 7 points Blake gave to Texans in the 2nd quarter with his interception at the goal line. When we are down by 10 in the 4th you make up some statistic that we only had a 5% probability to come back, so the pick 6 didn't matter. It's a bunch of excuses. Are you joking? Look at Andrew luck, Peyton, Farve and all of their INTs their 2nd year in the league. Bortles has nearly a 2:1 TD vs INT rate. You're clueless man- this is the WORST jags defense in franchise history! That's the problem.....not the most improved player in the NFL Blake Bortles. Quote:YOU are evaluating it in a vacuum. I say, if Bortles wasn't as good as he was, the team is nowhere near the goal line in that situation. So, just saying that he gave away 7 points there is ignoring the fact that he was the very reason they were in that position to begin with.
Quote:Padding stats while the team continuously gets blown out by the NFL bottom feeders impresses no one. He has been getting extremely lucky on a lot of plays and the padded stats don't accurately reflect just how mediocre he has been. How is it padding stats when MOST of his stats come in the first half? Jags fans aren't bright. Bortles is the best player on the team and they don't even realize they have the worst defense in franchise history. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Nice pick 6 for Marcus today as well.

It's called progression and improvement. Quote:Hey look, its the village idiot from the Titans boards! Nice pick 6 for Marcus today as well. No need to call me an idiot. You continue to reveal just how childish you are with every post.

Andrew Luck 2nd year - 24 years old------ 23 TD, 9 INT and 3800 yards
Blake Bortles 2nd year- 23 years old-------34 TD, 16 INT and 4200 yards Going from 11 TD and 17 INT to 34 TD and 16 INT would make Blake Bortles the most improved player in the NFL. So he's improving.....how's our defense doing? How's our running game doing? How's our head coach coaching? How's our kicker kicking? All of those things have gotten worse. Our QB has gotten better. Quote:No need to call me an idiot. You continue to reveal just how childish you are with every post.So nothing on the Mariota pick 6 then? You show up after every Jags game trolling, then wonder why you're not welcomed with open arms? Quote:YOU are evaluating it in a vacuum. BB5 had a Bad Game that put the team in a Deeeeeeep Hole w/o a doubt. But, this game along w/the other bad games will not define the final outcome of BB5. Blake and the team are in the training mode. They have not learned how to win w/respect to eliviating turnovers, penalties, etc. that costs the team games. Yes the two INTs hurt along/w the running game being inept but we must keep in mind that we're in the second year of the learning mode... No Excuses just facts... Enough Said... NH3...

Big Ben and Brett. If we ever get a running game I think that will also help. His mistakes do suck but hes still very young but I love the yards and TDs, its nice to see that stuff as a Jag fan.

Andrew Luck CAREER yards per game 268.
Blake Bortles season yards per game 271. Marrone and Olson have already done wonders over Jedd Fisch now get this guy a head coach and not a cheerleader. Quote:lol at all the hate David G is getting here, he was better than BrunellWhat in the name of hell are you smoking? Garrard could not sniff Brunell's jock strap. Quote:Andrew Luck 2nd year - 24 years old------ 23 TD, 9 INT and 3800 yards Again, padded stats as the team continues to get decimated by the worst teams in the NFL. He is still erratic in the pocket, inaccurate, still makes horrible decisions, crumbles under pressure, and is still an INT machine. Sure, he's improved, but he isn't even the best QB from his draft class and likely won't ever be more than an average QB. Quote:So nothing on the Mariota pick 6 then? You show up after every Jags game trolling, then wonder why you're not welcomed with open arms? Rookies make mistakes, surprise. How about the poise he showed in the face of adversity today? Took a couple dirty shots that most thought would put him out for quite some time but stayed in a toughed it out. Whats funny is that despite all his struggles, he is still light years ahead of where Bortles was in his first 5 games.
Love the revisionist history look back at Garrard.
David Garrard played for a team where if he scored 17 points he would win most of the time. Blake plays for a team where if he scores 35 he will still lose most of his games. Garrard had a running game and a defense. Blake has neither. And is already a better pure passer than Garrard by lightyears. In his second year. But dream on. Quote:Love the revisionist history look back at Garrard. Yeah, but being a better pure passer than Garrard isn't saying much... |
