No Jags to the Pro Bowl (MERGED)

Quote:Shannon Sharpe on First Take this morning "Allen Robinson is the biggest snub. How does a receiver with 13 touchdowns get snubbed for a receiver with 4?"

And Sharpe is traditionally a Jaguar hater.
Who is he referring to?  No WR got in that only had 4 TDs.  Calvin, Julio, and Fitz all had the fewest amount with 7.

Lol I guess if you take away his 3 TD game against the Eagles it's 4, but I think he just misread his info.

Allen Robinson deserves to go to the Pro Bowl and I remain surprised that Calvin Johnson was voted to the Pro Bowl this year.

Having said this,  TDs are sometimes not indicative of a WRs production.   In the 2012 season,  when Calvin Johnson broke the NFL Receiving Yards in an NFL season  ( 1964 ),  he caught only 5 TDs that season.   Even with a 16.1 yards per catch average.

Yeah, it sounded like he worded his notes wrong creating a false statement.

Although I am sure ARob will still go, I hate that he is not rewarded with a straight up selection for his performance. I hope he ends the season leading all receivers in touchdowns and yards. If he does go, I will be grabbing his probowl jersey!

Quote:A big difference is that every week it seems NFL fans are seeing something freaky like an INT returned 85 yards or a snap go right through his hands for a defensive TD.
agreed clean this up and he's in. Clean that up and we may be talking 40 TD passes.

You get respect by winning and winning consistently.

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

Obviously the Jags now have some "Pro-Bowl Caliber" players that will/should be good for a long time.

But, when this team is still behind the Colts and Texans who have been trotting out backup QBs and scrubs (Mallett, Weeden) all year, there is not going to be any respect.

It'll come. ARob, Bortles, Smith, Linder, Hurns, etc.. will get their due when the team starts winning more games.

i dont get the obsession or desire for ESPN/NFLN to talk about your fav team.

Relevant : bearing upon or connected with the matter in hand; pertinent

Respect : 5) the condition of being esteemed or honored

Every players dream. Can't fault fans for not wanted players to get their due.

P.S. If these words don't describe what you want in your profession / life too, then IDK what to tell you.

Most fans are fanatical about their team so they wish to get anything Jaguars they can. If you're a fan of anything, you typically want more of it and even expect others too see it as you do.

Oh I absolutely agree.  Whether it was from nagging injuries, age, or gameplanning, Calvin does not deserve to be voted to the Pro Bowl this year.  Definitely not over Allen Robinson based off of a lot of factors.

Does anybody really care/watch the Pro Bowl (NFL Player Hawaii Vacation)?  The NFL Pro "Bowel" is pretty much the prototype for American Idol and Survivor (does anyone even watch that show anymore?).

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Well I disagree because nobody isn't saying anything about Derek Carr and his three pick sixes he got just as many as Blake. Do you also know that Blake bortles is leading the league in passes over 20 yards and second in fantasy points. So miss me with The media and message board Blaming him For being a snub making mistakes What other QB is around the league are doing the same thing. Let them see you feel free to show him making great plays as well instead of the bad plays.

Even if Calvin is healthy enough to play, ARob still has a great shot at playing in the game considering SB participants don't play in the Pro Bowl.
