The little scandals aside, one can't deny it's a tightly run organization.  No other team can find and squeeze the talent out of a player like Belichick and his staff. Of course it doesn't hurt to have a QB who plays in rarified air, but they're also a well-rounded team. I wish our front office had a smidgen of their ability.

It's not the scandals that got them there, it was talent on the field and in the building.  The scandals are the result of the paranoia to keep it running at a high level.  At some point, everyone falls.  They are desperately trying to not let that happen, even if they have no need to be desperate.  You can see it in the little things, like the challenged Brady TD.  Scraping for every little inch, as if their lives depended on it.
