Won't happen they can't stand each other. They've been bickering since LONG before the elections or either one was running for President. Rand and Cruz just bump heads to much on domestic issues and how to address them. 

But isn't that what the ideal POTUS/VP relationship should be? no "yes men" in the administration, but people who are talented, and are passionate about serving the country? look at the first presidential cabinet under Washington for example.

I think Rubio gets the majority of the Paul voters, Cruz second most, and maybe just a few for Trump, whom Paul despises (with good reason).

 

It will be interesting to see who, if anyone, Paul eventually throws his endorsement to.

Rubio's kind of the anti-Rand Paul in many ways. Paul appeals to libertarians, and there's nothing libertarian about Rubio. I think Cruz winds up taking most of those voters, and I could actually see Paul endorsing Cruz in the coming days.

Rand was one of my three that I had on my top tier.  He originally had my vote and then turned me off a little before he announced his bid.  He just wasn't "cool" enough to win over the Trump voters or Rubio voters.

I find it so sad that "being cool enough" is even something that people consider for a POTUS. I guess Obama and his "cool factor" with the young and hip started this trend. And don't bash me here, I voted for him in '08, but that's another story altogether.

 

The office of the Presidency is not about being young, hip and trendy. It's about being an adult who knows the landscape, knows the stakes and is not willing to compromise based on public 'opinion'. Our voice should be heard absolutely, but this flip-flopping that candidates, and even Obama while in office, has done to win the popular vote is ridiculous.

It's about time that some of the "dead weight" candidates are starting to drop.  It's hard to estimate who Rand Paul supporters would go to.  My guess in order would be Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and maybe Marco Rubio.  A few at this point might gravitate to the other "fringe candidates" such as Ben Carson or Carly Fiorina.

Nah, I think he'll go in another direction.  Probably won't be Rubio, but I really don't think it will be Cruz.  Almost worthy of a MB poll.

I was never really a 'left leaner', at least not hard left. I could see the benefits and detriments of left and right and, except for '08', I always voted on whose policies most lined up with mine/voting record. As I've said, '08 is another story altogether.  

 

Many years ago I took the test that tells you what your political status was and it showed Libertarian. I had no clue what that meant and didn't care at the time because I figured there were no Libertarian candidates to vote for so what was the point in even researching it further. Last year I took the same test and it showed Libertarian again. My husband the neo-con said that was even more hardcore than him, meaning more right leaning. I don't really think that's true but whatever. 

 

I just know the country is in a downward spiral it will never recover from because those who have the loudest voice, whether they're the majority or not, are going to make sure it happens. Whether out of ignorance or stupidity is yet to be determined but it's already happening. They want it all and they want it now and the only way they'll get it is by voting for it to be given to them. They don't even realize that what can be given can also be taken away by the very same people who gave it to them in the first place.

All politicians bump heads at some point, and all politicians go at each other in the election season (Reagan/Bush got really heated, but look how that ended),but we can't ignore the fact that they've been the only two to stand on the same side numerous times in congress. They co-authored the Audit the Fed bill as well.

Nowadays, its like the candidate who doesn't wear the Canadian Tuxedo on the campaign trail is usually the winner.  I wish it would go to the most intelligent and knowledgeable candidates, where Paul and Cruz are clearly ahead of the rest of the GOP nominees, but it is pretty much a guarantee to go to Rubio now that he has some momentum and the establishment solidifying around him.  New Hampshire is Trump's, but mark my words, if Rubio takes second by a good margin over Cruz, Cruz is done.

I don't think the democrats are as screwed as we think they are as long as their candidates 'promise' to give them what they want. They'll show up to the polls for that.

 

Sadly the 'cool' factor this time seems to be a GOP problem.
