Lame. Probably going back to the Senate, but I would love to see him as a VP-candidate.

Because that election is also in 2016, I think it influenced Rand Paul's decision to drop out of the Presidential Race at this time. I would be very surprised if Rand Paul emerges as the V.P. Choice in 2016 because of the results of his Presidential Campaign. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I doubt Jeb drops so soon, he's still a decent fundraiser, and it's not like he's really doing anything else lulz. I could see Christie, Fiorina and those lower tier candidates bow out.
It's a shame Rand dropped out, if only for having an opposing voice in the debates, now it'll be "bomb this" and "we need your liberties to protect you" that.
well crap I guess I will be voting for no one now
Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17 2016 draft players I think will be good

That's unfortunate. I think his general curmudgeon is what cost him, especially the first few debates which reinforced the impression. I think the libertarian sect needs a fresh, young face to enter the fray. National elections have already shown that people gravitate towards the young, smooth, and cool. There needs to be a Marco Rubio / Barack Obama with the Paul message for the movement to gain any momentum. I think it is coming, but most of those kids are in college now. We may see a candidate gain traction within 20 years.

The guy has vision, understands historically what we have done and how we have failed. Everyone called him an isolationist because he didn't want to go around provoking nations. The libertarian "sect" doesn't need a new face it needs more people to be educated towards the fact that big government in the form of both Democrats and Republicans has failed them. I felt Rand Paul was the only candidate establishing that position which is the only position myself and many like me have at this point. War Crazy, Ignorant, Socialist, Financially illiterate is what we have left and thats not even counting Hillary's many issues. Its no wonder voter turnout is low. I will vote for whoever Paul endorses because he is the only one I have any faith in.

Rand already had your vote - it's not your vote he needed to win over. Rand came off as bitter, which turned off a lot of voters. I stand by the notion that the libertarian sect needs a young, charismatic leader. The closest thing it has had to young and charismatic was Ron Paul, and we all know he was not young, and had bouts of crankiness. Rand was one of my three that I had on my top tier. He originally had my vote and then turned me off a little before he announced his bid. He just wasn't "cool" enough to win over the Trump voters or Rubio voters.
I think/hope Cruz picks up a good chunk of Rand's supporters.
We learned in the Sunday School who made the sun shine through. I know who made the moonshine too, back where I come from.

I'll probably vote libertarian party unless cruz gets the nomination. The ACA and chances at revoking it would be the only reason I'd vote GOP this time around. The ACA is an economy killer its got to go.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

They've been bickering since LONG before the elections or either one was running for President. Rand and Cruz just bump heads to much on domestic issues and how to address them. Quote:Won't happen they can't stand each other. They've been bickering since LONG before the elections or either one was running for President. Rand and Cruz just bump heads to much on domestic issues and how to address them.Yeah, but think of how many moderates and libertarians Paul would draw in. Cruz might actually stand a chance if he brings on a running mate like Paul or Kasich, who has some appeal to those currently leaning left without any real commitment to the Democratic Party.
Quote:I think/hope Cruz picks up a good chunk of Rand's supporters.I don't think that'll be the case. I think Rubio gets the majority of the Paul voters, Cruz second most, and maybe just a few for Trump, whom Paul despises (with good reason). It will be interesting to see who, if anyone, Paul eventually throws his endorsement to. |
