1st Round Mock Anyone?

#21

Quote:Joey Bosa fills a bigger need. There is a huge dropoff in talent from 5 to 38. How did Andre Branch work out as an early second round pick?

I think Dallas should draft a quarterback when there are much better prospects available. They can afford to put it off for now.
I think they should as well, Goff or Wentz will probably go to Dallas

Read the other half of that sentence again. "When there are much better prospects available" obviously means not picking a QB this year.

then why did you say "I think Dallas should draft a qb"?

I said Dallas should draft a QB when there are much better prospects available. It is one sentence.

I kind of think this QB class is a bit underrated at the top.  I think Wentz, Goff, and Lynch could all be good QBs.  We shall see

It seems to me like people are only mocking Goff to 2 and Wentz to 4 because of who owns those pick numbers. That is all anyone talks about: the Browns and Cowboys need quarterbacks. In other words, they would be huge reaches if the Browns and Cowboys don't trade down.

Goff is a system QB, and Wentz was a big fish in a little pond at a small school.  Neither probably really deserves to be in the top ten, or even top 20, but teams that need a QB reach, and make their favorite QB a lot better than they really are in their own minds.  Cough, Blaine Gabbert, cough.

All that being said, I think the Browns take Wentz for his upside and cold weather experience, and Dallas skips QB in the first (Jerry Jones said they don't need to draft one).  In this mock I have Goff going to the 49ers, but I sort of forgot Kelly took over there, so he may feel he can salvage the mobile Kaepernik and coach him up.  If that was the case, Goff goes to the Rams, and Lynch falls to the Texans.

The 2011 draft should have taught teams it is not smart to reach for QBs. Tennessee picked Jake Locker at #8 before we traded up for Blaine Gabbert at #10. Two picks later the Vikings picked Christian Ponder at #12. Second round picks Andy Dalton and Colin Kaepernick have been better than all of those guys.

Speaking of Kaepernick, when Chip Kelly was hired the big story was he saved Colin's career. NFL analysts seem to agree Kelly's system is ideal for Kaepernick. I would not bet on the 49ers picking a QB with an early first round pick.

Probably pass on QB in first round and take that Oregon QB, Vernon Adams, in the 3rd or 4th maybe.

Who, the 49ers? I think Chip Kelly was already in Philadelphia when Vernon Adams became Oregon's starter.

Another idiot put Miami at 38. Where are people getting that from? Miami had a better record than us.

C'mon people.... it's been stated 100 times that she has a legitimate disorder and is going to make posts that wont always come across the way we would write something.  But instead of being the better person and accepting her disorder by ignoring her occasional odd message, there is almost always some smart [BAD WORD REMOVED] remark.  And it's annoying as hell after awhile.  Instead of being the internet tough guy / smart [BAD WORD REMOVED], just ignore it.  Or dont take offense to it.  Just be a grownup and understand how to respond or not respond.  I mean I get it... I realize the world is full of juvenile idiots and the internet gives these people a voice, but why dont you moderators do something so we dont have to read the constant ridicule topic after topic.

** oh and it looks like I just said another bad word... another warning point for me!

Oh, please. No disorder allows for someone to call someone an idiot. She's a troll.
