1st Round Mock Anyone?
|
First version, pre-combine thoughts are....
1. TEN - OT Laremy Tunsil 2. CLE - QB Carson Wentz 3. S.D. - S/CB Jalen Ramsey 4. DAL - LB Myles Jack 5. JAC - DE Joey Bosa 6. BAL - OT Ronnie Stanley 7. S.F. - QB Jared Goff 8. MIA - DE/OLB Noah Spence 9. TAM - CB Vernon Hargreaves 10. NYG - DE Shaq Lawson 11. CHI - DE DeForest Buckner 12. N.O. - DT Jarran Reed 13. PHI - DT A'Shawn Robinson 14. OAK - CB Mackensie Alexander 15. L.A. - QB Paxton Lynch 16. DET - WR Laquon Treadwell 17. ATL - DE Emmanuel Ogbah 18. IND - OT Taylor Decker 19. BUF - DT Robert Nkemdiche 20. NYJ - RB Ezekiel Elliott 21. WAS - LB Reggie Ragland 22. HOU - RB Derrick Henry 23. MIN - LB Darron Lee 24. CIN - LB Jaylon Smith 25. PIT - CB Eric Apple 26. SEA - OT Jack Conklin 27. G.B. - DT Andrew Billings 28. K.C. - DT Sheldon Rankins 29. ARI - OLB Leonard Floyd 30. DEN - DE Jonathan Bullard 31. CAR - DE Kevin Dodd Dallas could easily take Joey Bosa, but they may need LB more, and Jack is a special talent. If they don't take him, the Jags probably would if Ramsey is gone. Spence flies all the way up to #8 to the Dolphins. I think WR Treadwell runs a pretty slow 40 and falls all the way to 16 to Detroit, which will be perfect for them. If Derrick Henry falls to round 2, we should trade up to #32 with the Browns to get him. (provided we have picked up OC Alex Mack and a FS Eric Weddle in Free Agency). I don't care if we have Yeldon. T.J. could be a good #2 complement back, just like he was at Alabama. Your thoughts on how the first 5 shake out and my other picks here? We show less advertisements to registered users. In my mind, I don't see Bosa getting past both the Chargers and Cowboys. I think both of those teams will be looking really hard at him. Nice mock.
Yea because we should definitely trade picks to move into round 1 to select a back up RB.....
Running back is the least of our problems. If we trade back into the first it should be for another defensive player. But I doubt we trade back into the 1st.

Nice mock.I agree to an extent, but I don't think Bosa really fits their defensive scheme. Kind of like how Clowney didn't fit the Texans scheme (I bet they with they had that pick back). Ramsey fits a huge need for the Chargers and is regarded as a pretty safe pick it seems. As for the Cowboys, if they don't keep Hardy, then I could see them taking Bosa, but they also might take a QB. LB will be a much bigger need, and remember they just took a DE early last year and the year before.
Quote:Yea because we should definitely trade picks to move into round 1 to select a back up RB.....Who said trade back into the first round? I said trade up to the top of the 2nd (pick #32 this year) and take Henry, who would be our STARTER and Yeldon would be a good back-up. Come on, Fail-bones. LOL. The Chargers need to fix their offensive line. I think if the Titans don't pick Laremy Tunsil, the Chargers will. Nothing would make me angrier than the Cowboys picking Joey Bosa.

Come on, Fail-bones. LOL. T.J. Yeldon is not going to be a backup. We drafted him near the top of the second round to be our starter. We need to move A.J. Cann to LG and draft a center to give Yeldon bigger holes to run through.

That would give us all the more reason to draft Henry, so he could run through those big holes to the END ZONE. Yeldon pitter-patters around and will never be a scoring threat on every play. He is better suited as a 3rd down back or a good back-up, IMO.

If for some reason the Jaguars don't sign him in the offseason, drafting a center is an absolute must. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Would he be any better than Ski or Bowanko? Not sure that stud Center is in the draft this year, but that's Caldwell's job I guess.

Buckner? Yuck. Hopefully we could trade down with somebody really wanting Myles Jack, or just take him ourselves.

I would be pleased if Bosa fell to us at 5. I still don't thing it will happen.

1. Titans: Laremy Tunsil
2. Browns: Carson Wentz 3. Chargers: DeForest Buckner 4. Cowboys: Paxton Lynch 5. Jaguars: Joey Bosa 6. Ravens: Myles Jack 7. Niners: Jared Goff 8. Dolphins: Noah Spence 9. Bucs: Jalen Ramsey 10. Giants: Ezekiel Elliot "A man with no sauce is lost.

Quote:We're gonna get Bosa, Ramsey, Jack or Tunsil.. I'd be happy with any of those 4..That is what I was thinking. Titans or Chargers will take Tunsil for sure, and Browns will take a QB, so we are pretty much sure to get Ramsey, Bosa or Jack.
Quote:1. Titans: Laremy TunsilRamsey AND Bosa both available, and we take Bosa? Wonder what Caldwell would do there? Ramsey fits a bigger need, and there will be good DE's in the 2nd round available. But Bosa paired with Fowler would surely bring a lot more sacks, which would help out the secondary, no matter who was back there. Elliott to Giants is a good possibility over what I had. I don't think the Cowboys take a QB for some reason. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I don't think the Cowboys take a QB for some reason. Joey Bosa fills a bigger need. There is a huge dropoff in talent from 5 to 38. How did Andre Branch work out as an early second round pick? I think Dallas should draft a quarterback when there are much better prospects available. They can afford to put it off for now. |
