This is pointless it's like figuring out which turd smells worse. I don't go as far to say Gabberts the worse ever, but he's bad enough that I don't want him around here anymore. I hate defending the guy, but that's how I see it.

Bradley and Caldwell form a dynamic duo.  Right time and place.  Team will be better next year.  Will bring in more talent during FA and the draft.

Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency. 


1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Those guys maybe bad but atleast they had courage to step up in the pocket and make a play once in awhile.  Even if you take into consideration Leaf's emotional issues it's still better then care free gabbert who is just terrible all around.  The guy is trash

Have you seen them play live because if not then be quiet about Leaf and Akili Smith making plays every once in a while because believe it or not gabbert had done the same thing. We get you hate gabbert and all but lets not make assumptions about things base on your personal agenda because you're sounding like a troll. Let me say this for you Gabbert is bad and after the season is over we as a fanbase and organization will move on from him. By the way, i'm not a gabbert supporter or anything but I just want the whining about him from this fanbase to  stop because we're sounding like jilted lovers from a bad relationship.

Like was said yesterday on 1010xl....The team has gone from "hoping" to win...

to "expecting" to win.

 

There's a huge difference in how they're playing....scrubs or not and it's noticeable.

earlier in the season NOBODY expected the horns and tacks to be struggling and on the way down in November and December.

 

Even with a good coach, which now we have, You don't just "flip a switch" and have a good team like you do on your X boxes. It takes years.

The thing with tanking is in my opinion this. Every Monday through Saturday I was thinking.. 'Well if we lose we can get the number 1 and hit that home run play hopefully'. But even when I was on the idea of tanking..every Sunday I wanted the jags to win. Tanking is a theoretical idea..watching your team play is more of an emotional thing and it just sends everything else out the window. I've never once watched or played in any sports game

Hoping we would lose.


It's good to see the players and coaches striving hard to keep getting better and working hard to win even when we had been written off.


As for these, what some would call, 'meaningless wins', those who dispute it's giving the team confidence. How do you think Cecil shorts is feeling after beating one of the top corners in the game to get a game winning touchdown in his home town? Do you not think he will carry that through till next week? Hell he'll will remember that for the rest of his career.

Winning and losing is not meaningless, because it reveals what kind of team and coaching staff you have.   There may be a benefit for morale and  confidence, but the most important aspect of winning and losing is as a measuring stick. 

 

The price you pay for achieving a high draft pick is to suck as a team, to actually be lousy.    That means you are a long way from having a winning team.   At that point, getting a high draft pick is a consolation prize, but not one that any sane person wants.

Agree completely.  Keep thinking that the "right" thing to do is lose.  And then comes kickoff and I am cheering for a win!  Just can't root against my team.  No way.

Gotta think big picture. Not getting Bridgewater isn't that bad. Keeps Caldwell from being so pressured in one direction. Also we are playing as well and fired up as anyone in our division right now. That is friggin huge

If Gabbert played in the 90's he'd still be starting and we'd probably see another year of him at least because teams assumed guys would need time to develop. (almost no matter how hopeless it may have appeared)

 

If you have a personal hatred for Gabbert then be glad it's 2013.
