I've got no problem with people who disagree with me when they have a coherent, thoughtful reason for doing so. Since none of that applies to you, I'll just stick to what works. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Something about that deal didn't feel "right"....I'm glad we passed.
Because Jaguars is our mantra

I really hope we take Jalen Ramsey so I can watch the OP start another thread to whine.
Quote:This is offset, a bit, by the fact that Jacksonville can offer a deal with no state income tax. In a $50 million deal, for instance, this will be worth about $6 million. You'd think this would entice more players to Florida.

Losers! No, it's pretty clear that some moves are just a no-win with a certain segment of this group. Notice how I didn't refer to it as a fanbase. There are a few of you who are a very special and rare breed. When the day comes that the Jags win a Superbowl, you and those like you will be talking about how the other team lost, not how the Jags won. It's just how your minds work. You are simply not conducive to being a fan. The sooner you realize that and move on to something in life that makes you happy, the better. There is happiness out there for you, solid snake, yo boy, jerrad, and those who share your mindset. Being a fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars just 'ain't doing it for ya.
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

What proof do you have that anybody would be mad if the Jags won the Super Bowl? Your PHD in armchair psychology?
Make the Jags Great Again
Blake Bortles......YOU'RE FIRED! Dave Caldwell.....YOU'RE FIRED! Quote:You'd think this would entice more players to Florida. You'd think, but if they're getting a bigger deal on the front end in guaranteed money, like we saw with Vernon, the immediate cash influx would probably outweigh the tax ramifications over the long haul. There are only 180 or so roster spots for players to land in Florida. Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

You know, in looking at Vernon's stats, then seeing how much the Giants paid him, I'm not seeing the value at all. He's getting close to what JJ Watt got, and he only had 8 sacks last year. We can do better in the draft.

Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17 2016 draft players I think will be good
Wasn't city enough to throw a bunch of money at him he means.

Quote:Wasn't city enough to throw a bunch of money at him he means. No we offered him the same contract
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Didnt he get a lot more gaurenteed in NY. I think thats the difference between the two.
Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster The Home Hypnotist! Media on the Brain Link! Quote:Peyton must store oxygen in that forehead of his. No way I'd still be alive after all that choking.
Quote:No we offered him the same contract Quote:King includes other details about the Jaguars' offer, including the fact that it ended up being $17 million in cash less than the Giants' offer in the first two years. King says the Giants' offer was $41 million, which means the Jaguars' offer was $24 million.$17 million less is not the same contract.
