50 Dead at Orlando Night Club The Pulse In Act Of Terror

Quote:Why does it feel like a couple people are actually defending the shooter?

Because the shooter was an American with Constitutional rights and we'd prefer to keep this within the context of our legal system rather than scrapping all our rights in the name of outrage.

Am i pissed? Yes.

Glad he's dead? Yes.

Willing to give up my rights because he abused his? No chance in Hell.

Quote:Ok, so he is a politicial simpleton in your opinion? That is ok for you to think that. Different than being Hodor.

A mans wealth does not reflect intelligence, but attending an Ivy League school does. I don't care how much influence his father may or may not of had at getting him in, you have to be smart to stay in.

I get your point. To clarify, I'm speaking specifically about his political policies. I disagree with them vehemently, mainly because they don't sound well thought out, and are silly, in my opinion.

I'll concede he has areas of expertise. As far as political policies, he's highly lacking.

Quote:He also condemned his son's actions. He went to far as to call it terrorism abs he would have narc'd on his own son of he knew what he was planning.

Proof positive of your true disingenuous agenda pushing, you ignore this fact in order to try and solidify your opinion. Sad.

Quote:Hood that work out for us. 35 years later and gays are still executed in aghhan the taliban is returning to power and we have long lines at the airport and night clubs being shot up.

This really has nothing to do with your original point, which was that his father should not have been in the country.

Quote:Right again oh wise one. In fully sure the pro taliban dad was completely sincere in condemning his pro iris son for acting on the beliefs the father taught him.

The world HAS gone stark raving mad.
Deal with the facts, friend. You nor anyone knows what lies in the heart of another man. I heard his interview and he made a statement on the public record.

He said he believes homosexuality is wrong, but that no man can pass judgment, that is "God's job"-- his words.

You have to concede these facts.

The world is not going crazy, you are highlighting certain things, ignoring other things in order to create a false narrative that you are now deluding yourself into thinking is reality.

Quote:Yes, and then he wrote a whole long screed about how this means he ought to be President. He can't take even one day to let this thing settle before making it about him and his campaign. Yes, I would say classless piece of garbage pretty much describes him.

Hillary did the same thing. Let's make sure we are throwing our criticism around evenly.

Looks like the shooter's father is a member of the Pakistan ISI. Shooter also had a Facebook page listing his birthplace as "Islamabad, Pakistan". They are probably CIA assets well-known to the Feds. We also know Hillary's State Dept pulled the FBI off the investigation of the shooter's mosque in 2011.

He also said this wasn't a religious act. And of course that was not true. I wouldn't believe anything he has to say.

Because if I wanted to know where someone was born, I'd totally trust Facebook over their birth certificate.

The guy apparently visited this club a few times. Got kicked out. Accompany that with anger issues, being ratted out by his gf that he was gay...and bam. He then goes on about ISIS and other terror groups such as Taliban....some of these factions do not get along.

So, imo, this guy was a nut job, who had serious issues. I do not believe he was trained or recruited.

That being said..it is a different culture...and if you happen to be gay in that culture it's conflicting.

The culture does not easily assimilate...in Canada a few years ago..a Muslim family killed their own daughter because she brought shame to them.

It's difficult...but as I've said before, laws and policies will be changing. They have to. Whether it's immigration, gun control, surveillance, etc.

Lol...yeah. If you reference Facebook, you're argument is weak. I wonder if he ever posted any goat stew recipes or pics. Facebook. Lol.

Why is it not true? Condemning homosexuality based on one's religious teachings is one thing. Killing is another.

There is a quote out there of the father saying no man has the right to kill because of their religious beliefs.

Sorry, but you are projecting your bigotry onto this man.

Facts are facts... let's focus on those. The father also had a tv show he would put on, which is odd.

The shooter was known to frequent gay clubs and social media. And he also claimed allegiance to two opposing middle east factions...

This is not as cut and dry a situation as you want it to be...

Him being a Muslim may not even be the primary motive of this horribly sick person. But don't let that stand in your way. You want this to fit your preconceived ideology of the war on Islam.

It's ridiculous how quickly some folks are ready to ignore facts...

Yes it does. We assisted in covert action to hurt tge Soviets not because Afghanistan was a functioning democracy.

LOL, sketchy is putting it lightly... Here's another article, and an exerpt... Bear in mind this is from the WSJ, a right wing paper...

http://www.wsj.com/articles/omar-mateens-father-terribly-saddened-by-orlando-gay-club-massacre-1465837167

There was no indication in his videos that the elder Mr. Mateen was a Taliban sympathizer. But he praised the militants for supposedly challenging the legitimacy of the Durand Line, the British-drawn boundary between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Kabul government has long refused to

I didn't claim the shooter was born in Pakistan - he did. So there is a discrepancy about his origin. An anomaly. They both can't be true, but finding which is actually true may bring some clarity. This is how investigations work.

So the truth is either what is on a birth certificate or what was put into a social media site, where can quite literally type in anything.

Hmmm, tough choice of which to believe.

Sounds like he was a closeted gay whose brainwashing from his fundamentalist upbringing caused his brain to trip and he went postal. Looking less and less like radical Islam and more about a guy who hated who he was. Such a shame that homophobia is a fundamentalist's value, Christian or Muslim. Hate is hate. No room for that in 2016.

Quote:Now you're changing the parameters. you said 300 gay NRA members at a rave. You didn't say trained special ops green berets that were sober at a nice dining establishment discussing the pros and cons of the chicken or the fish for dinner.

Same with the stupid argument that a person in a dark movie theatre with a gun is gonna be able to save lives. Cuz, you know, shooting in the dark in a room that, acoustically speaking, makes it hard to know who has a gun and who's just freakin' out is a recipe for disaster.

Look, I'm sure that there are situations where a person with a gun can help a situation. I just don't believe that EVERY situation is better when everyone is armed. Specifically this one.

How dark do you think these places are? I'm sure some clubs fit your descriptions, but a lot of them (and theaters) are plenty bright enough to clearly identify the threat. I bring mine every where I go and haven't been in a situation where I couldn't use it properly. Even if it means waiting a few moments and assessing the situation.

Are you saying no one could have seen a lone gunman shooting a rifle in the club and kill him?
