Because the shooter was an American with Constitutional rights and we'd prefer to keep this within the context of our legal system rather than scrapping all our rights in the name of outrage.

The guy apparently visited this club a few times. Got kicked out. Accompany that with anger issues, being ratted out by his gf that he was gay...and bam. He then goes on about ISIS and other terror groups such as Taliban....some of these factions do not get along.

So, imo, this guy was a nut job, who had serious issues. I do not believe he was trained or recruited.

That being said..it is a different culture...and if you happen to be gay in that culture it's conflicting.

The culture does not easily assimilate...in Canada a few years ago..a Muslim family killed their own daughter because she brought shame to them.

Why is it not true? Condemning homosexuality based on one's religious teachings is one thing. Killing is another.

The shooter was known to frequent gay clubs and social media. And he also claimed allegiance to two opposing middle east factions...


This is not as cut and dry a situation as you want it to be...


Him being a Muslim may not even be the primary motive of this horribly sick person. But don't let that stand in your way. You want this to fit your preconceived ideology of the war on Islam.

I didn't claim the shooter was born in Pakistan - he did.  So there is a discrepancy about his origin.  An anomaly.  They both can't be true, but finding which is actually true may bring some clarity.  This is how investigations work.

Sounds like he was a closeted gay whose brainwashing from his fundamentalist upbringing caused his brain to trip and he went postal. Now you're changing the parameters. you said 300 gay NRA members at a rave. You didn't say trained special ops green berets that were sober at a nice dining establishment discussing the pros and cons of the chicken or the fish for dinner.


Same with the stupid argument that a person in a dark movie theatre with a gun is gonna be able to save lives. Cuz, you know, shooting in the dark in a room that, acoustically speaking, makes it hard to know who has a gun and who's just freakin' out is a recipe for disaster.


Look, I'm sure that there are situations where a person with a gun can help a situation. I just don't believe that EVERY situation is better when everyone is armed. Specifically this one.

How dark do you think these places are? I'm sure some clubs fit your descriptions, but a lot of them (and theaters) are plenty bright enough to clearly identify the threat. I bring mine every where I go and haven't been in a situation where I couldn't use it properly. Even if it means waiting a few moments and assessing the situation.
