Reality Check
|
Ramsey looked real good last night.
House and Ramsay make a real good tandem to have. Colvin is ok, but he seems to always have a few plays where I'm not sure what he's doing. I'm kinda rooting for Prince to stay healthy all season and supplant Colvin's spot. Either way, the secondary is gonna be the strength of our defense this season, it seems. I think next year, we'll be saying that about our d line. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
The only thing right now that worries me is the pass rush and the left O-line. Otherwise every other question is in terms of backups and depth issues. This team is loaded everywhere, and we should put up big numbers on both sides of the ball. I just hope our D Line is just taking it easy in preseason and they go off vs Green Bay.
Quote:Prince doesn't play the slot. Ehh, didn't know. I figured he'd be able to plug and play. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:House in the slot with Prince and Ramsey on the outside would work the best I'd say.wut
House is more of an outside/press corner. I don't know if he's quick enough for the slot. Colvin is a good fit for slot corner, he's quick and versatile, a good tackler and a good blitzer. Ramsey can play slot because, well, he's a freak and he can play pretty much anywhere.

Blake Bortles......YOU'RE FIRED! Dave Caldwell.....YOU'RE FIRED! Quote:House is more of an outside/press corner. I don't know if he's quick enough for the slot. They plan on starting Ramsey on the outside though no? If its a choice between House and Prince for the slot House is better suited.
Here's the reality check. When the players came in on offence, it took a year to get things firing properly. The players are now there on defence. Expect the first year to be rough. This is not our year, as much as some fans might not want to face that.

"It was Blake Bortles the whole time. They believe in this kid. He reminds me a bit of a young Ben Roethlisberger." ~Mike Mayock

This is not our year, as much as some fans might not want to face that. Depends on what you mean by "our year". If you'll take a winning record, I'll say it could very well be our year. We had some very good trends last year and it was a couple of very pronounced issues on D that kept us from being successful (particularly we couldn't get off the field on 3rd down due to pass rush and middle of the field coverage in the secondary). I think that will be fixed this year and while we may not be equipped to make a real run in the playoffs yet, I think making a run at the division title is a possibility.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

I'll take a winning record, but I'll know it doesn't represent what the team's capable off once all the pieces are working together as they should. |
