Its not significant, your talking aggregate stats, totals,  BB totals will be more because he threw the ball much more times the FItz (44), which is basically an extra game.  If you take that into account the totals would be virtually the same.

Glad you bring up the rushing because, BB TD numbers were inflated because the team opted to throw the ball inside the 3yd line, (7 TDS's of 3yds or less), this explains why team had an anemic rushing TD total for the year of 5, 2nd lowest in the league 1 more than Oakland, who also had a young qb with inflated TD numbers.

If you want to take into account the whole picture, sure, but also account for the fact the BB had 6 TD's in garbage time when the game was no longer in doubt, he on numerous occasions turned the ball over early and put them in the position where they had to throw, it wasn't just the bad D and lack of rushing game.  He didn't carry the team very far, once again not all on him.   BB was not efficient and turned the ball over too much,  it you look at his efficiency and average numbers they line up quite well with Fitz, and to put those numbers in context.  A Passer rating of 88 is game manager territory (23rd and 24th)(BB and FITz),  YPA of 7.3 is average (15th)- upper echelon game manager territory.  An TD% of 5.8 is good, but that includes alot of fluff, their numbers of (5.8,5.5)(6th,9th)(BB FiTZ) line up,   A INT % of 3 is just plain bad and is nearly unsustainable for a winning team, good for 32nd in the league, (3.0,2.7)(32nd 28th)(BB Fitz)

I posted this earlier but if you look at BB's other stats in comparison to the others that threw for 35+ or 30+ TD's he ranks at the bottom or near the bottom of most of the efficiency or average stats.  What this really says is that it was very unlikely that he threw that many TD's.  Meaning that if he plays like that this year, he almost certainly won't throw nearly as many TD's, even if he improves he most likely wont match those numbers.  Out of 30 QB seasons of 35+TD's he has the lowest Passer rating, out of the 81 seasons of 30 or more he was 77th in passer rating.   My point is that BB has a very long way to go to become a top 10 qb in this league, his stats last season given the underlying play was a result of lots of passes, garbage time, bad red zone rushing/choosing not to run the ball in the red zone.  His average and efficiency stats are underwhelming and resemble a game manager.  Expecting him to surpass those TD numbers or even eclipse those TD numbers from last year is a stretch, he will most likely end up somewhere in the high 20's maybe even 30.   He still has a long way to go in consistency to put his team in a position to win, that is why I think this talk of the Jags winning the division this year is at least one year premature, sure anything can happen but BB last year was just not near the point where he can carry the team without lots of help. Here's a breakdown of his season last year from a historical standpoint.

Thanks for copying and pasting that ridiculousness again. Really says it all that you're reaching so hard to try to downplay his performance. What are you, texans fan? Osweiler had basically the same year as Gabbert. Tennessee fan? Mariota had basically the same year as Hoyer. But really such comparisons are just trolling.

You say Bortles is one of an only thirty guys to throw 35 or more TDs in the modern NFL to try to knock him down. Lol! You're saying his performance, at 23 was the lowest of the elite performances! Truly laughable that you think you're making a point there.

Also, just so you can understand, when you have no running game it gets harder to throw for TDs, not easier. That Bortles threw so many red zone TDs shows how good he is, not that he benefited from the team having a pathetic short yardage running game.

We had a running game, but it was nothing to brag about.

This guy obviously does not know the meanings of football statistics.

LoL, yet your not attacking any of the stats, I'm citing.  The aggregate totals look good, but when you look at how he got there not so much, he basically had Fitz season with more throws.  Having a 88.2 passer rating and a 3% INT rate is not gonna win games without a dominant defense and running game.   No one is disputing all the garbage time stats.  Speaking of the other QB's, its too early to say one way or the other.  MM has injury concerns, but looked promising at times.  Osweiler hasn't played enough either to say one way or the other.  However, Oz doesn't have to carry the team, it would be hard to be worse than what theyve had before.

If Oz refers to Osweiler, you messed up. The S does not sound like a Z.
