Debate 9/26/16 - Trump vs Clinton
|
Quote:I agree with almost all of this. That is the thing, we did make an investment and it failed. We also currently have solar panels plastered all over Arizona and the Mojave. The technology isn't there yet and the demand isn't there yet. It is too expensive and too ineffective. Maybe throwing even MORE money at groups like Solyndra will speed up technological development, but history has shown otherwise. Personally, I feel nuclear is the right path forward, but neither candidate wants to make a big point of it (for public perception reasons). It is both clean and highly efficient. At least Trump has included it in his inclusive energy desire. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:It is legal and every major business entrepreneur, even your favorites, do it to maximize revenue. If you don't do it, you aren't a very good businessman or haven't hired very good accountants and lawyers. Both candidates want to fix the problem and have plans, but it comes down to who do you believe will actually do it? Hillary, who has taken 100s of millions from Wall-Street and big banks to ensure the status quo remains, or Trump, who has used the laws himself to maximize his own business revenue. That's the arguement... But this opens up the question about trump... Why would he do anything as president to hurt his business' bottom line? Based on your concession that he thinks of businesses first, it makes it very difficult to believe he would do anything to increase taxes on his own companies. I understand the issue with Hillary and her ties with big business. But to think that donald trump is the people's champion seems far fetched to me as well. I think they wash out on this one. Both are deeply flawed in this area.
Quote:For it being Trumps 1st one on one debate and her 15th, I think he did pretty well for the most part. It can't be easy. So you consider loud sniffling, getting defensive, constantly interrupting her, and talking over the moderator doing pretty well?

You don't know, but this why it comes down to trust. Both have low trustworthiness ratings, but who do you trust more? Donald Trump said he would be totally out of his business, handing it completely over to his children (though it mostly in their hands to begin with). Hillary Clinton said she would deny foreign donations to the foundation and hand it over to Chelsea. Who do you believe? For what it is worth, Hillary said similar things before she became Secretary of State, and she totally didn't follow through. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Lester seemed biased towards Hillary, never interrupted her the same way he did Trump. I think Trump made some great points and I give him the edge in that debate. Great points like what? That blacks live in hell? That he doesn't underdtand why stop and frisk is unconstitutional? That he doesn't understand the concept of free trade? That he doesn't understand climate change? That the US has increased domestic energy production by over 30%, and is the world's leader in natural gas exports?
Interesting when Trump was discussing how we spend money foolishly, and our whole infrastructure is third world.
Shortly after, he's questioned on the years he paid no taxes. He says it's because he's smart. Ok. So if we were all that " smart" we wouldn't pay taxes either....then there's our infrastructure again. How's will it get fixed? By some guy who doesn't pay taxes, but off the backs of other hard working Americans? Clinton..It showed he payed no federal taxes. Trump...That makes me smart. Ok.

Quote:Interesting when Trump was discussing how we spend money foolishly, and our whole infrastructure is third world. he may have claimed losses those years or had carryover losses used that offset the tax owed. if he's being audited by the IRS year after year, there is no way he's "getting away with" anything.
Quote:Apparently this went way over your head. I'll dumb it down some for you. Hillary thinks Trump has something to hide but he will release the info after the audit. Now when Hillary has something to hide she will just delete it. The way I understood it was Trump plans to never release his tax returns because he knows Clinton does not have 33,000 emails to show him. The fact that his lawyer advised him not to release the information is telling. Why would a lawyer give him such advice if he has nothing to hide? We show less advertisements to registered users. It's not the issue that I think will drive undecided voters one way or the other...

I think you're missing the point that Ringo is making. @ Ringo, I picked up on that too. Thanks for pointing this out.
bottom line, Trump's campaign slogan should be "I'm not here to eff you"
Hillary is the same old, selling out her own country, politician. this country has been run by [BLEEP] traitors for decades and people still want to vote for it. whatever man. do that. im sure we'll be great again. or i guess not great. still cant figure out if people think this country is or was ever great. Quote:Liberals are mean people with short fuses. It is a scientific fact. Except in this case it isn't a scientific fact, but a biased opinion. It's okay.. I know how facts are just liberal lies.

Quote:The way I understood it was Trump plans to never release his tax returns because he knows Clinton does not have 33,000 emails to show him. I linked this some time ago about Trump's taxes. Read it, very informative on both sides. Also, unless you are an experienced lawyer in regards to this topic, how would you know what is and isn't valuable advice? You wouldn't, so you speculate alongside the equally ignorant media. Legal Experts Side With Trump; It Would Be Crazy to Release His Taxes During Audit
no CPA or tax attorney would advise their client to release tax returns to the public. Not one CPA in my office would tell him to release the returns. they're like, "Huh, i wouldn't do it."
Quote:I just started reading this thread from page 1. I find it interesting that there are 4 or 5 insults towards people that support Trump. Trump supporters are supposed to be the mean, nasty ones and here we are the non Trump supporters are the ones slinging it. Actually Trump supporters were the mean guys. Someone here told me I will vote for a traitor. If someone says people like Trump because of demographics, he obviously does not belong to any minority group that will be negatively affected by Trump's lack of policies. I'm gonna book a weekend at Mar-a-Lago and refuse to pay. I'll just say I wasn't satisfied. He should understand.

Quote:Yeah, there was a lot of "Nafta is terrible, it's the worst deal ever, it's cost us jobs..." That's fine if you already believe Nafta is terrible. But I don't see how such statements can persuade the white collar white people he needs to win over to get more votes than Clinton. No specifics. I'm watching. I don't like Hillary Clinton. Here's your chance! Tell me why Nafta is terrible. I didn't get an answer. Undecided are probably still undecided. Next 2 rounds have to address them significantly.
Quote:Why was Donald wearing a blue tie? Haven't seen people talking about it - but blue is dem and red is repub. When they walked onto the stage I thought it was ironic that Donald wore a blue tie and Hillary wore a red dress. |
