Debate 9/26/16 - Trump vs Clinton
|
Quote:Hardly a lie. Don't remember anybody claiming it as fact, further do not remember Donald disputing the question when it was put out. lol it's right there in black and white. the report Hillary referred to says he paid taxes three years and had losses in two. nobody "got out of" anything. he obviously spent alot of money somewhere and didn't recoup. Quote:A company he recieves income from, probably from Officer Compensation on top of earned income contributions in addition to basis distributions. I don't understand why you attack the person instead of the tax code. There is literally no reason for someone in his position to not use the laws granted to him to pay as little tax as possible. It IS smart to pay as little tax as possible. I don't hold it against Apple or Amazon or Trump for the level of taxes they pay. I hold it against the politicians who wrote the tax code that allow them to use loopholes to avoid paying taxes, and so should you. I am not really sure what your argument is, to be honest. Are you saying he SHOULDN'T use the laws provided to pay as little tax as possible? That he should pay more taxes than obligated to by law? Would that make him "more American" in your opinion and more worthy of voting for?
Quote:if they indeed have losses for a particular year... if they have too many consecutive years of loss then they would't be billionaires anymore. this is common sense stuff. plus the IRS will come knocking if you claim too many losses in consecutive years. at which point... you aint getting away with anything. this is known. That's very idealistic. And I appreciate your response. But there are alot of intricacies that you are ignoring. For instance, a corporation can hold losses for 20 years to reduce thier tax expostion. 20 years. You have a big enough loss, you can find ways to deduct enough to make your tax liability 0 for 20 years. And it happens alot. Again, it's bunk. He's a billionaire. There are many billionaires. The all are jacking us workers. He's not gonna fix it for the nation. He's just gonna keep it going. Like I said earlier... This is probably a wash between us. You think Hillary is gonna hose workers. And you can bring up alot of examples of it. I'm just trying to show you that trump is just as bad. And of course, in my opinion, he's worse. But at the end of the day, I just find it deplorable that he thinks it's smart of him to jack me and my peers. I never go to take any losses to ensure I don't pay taxes. I had the standard deduction that allowed me to get a refund back when I was in college. But since I got out of college I've had taxes that were paid to the government except for 2009 and 2010 when my family size and the fact that both me and my wife were in college. Other than that, I've had to pay into this nation. And I've been fine with it. But this guy comes along and calls my country garbage and he doesn't even pay his fair share. It's just frustrating. But again, that's just me. I know that the Clintons drive you crazy too. I just think it's fair game for Hillary to take him down on this issue. Though it'll probably be a wash in terms of how undecided voters look at the issue. They both have skeletons that can be exploited. I just think trump is tone def when he says he's smart for not paying taxes. The entire 1% have been nothing but takers of American Labor and hard work for the last 20 or 30 years. They can all go pound sand for all I care. Quote:All of the people who support Hillary for POTUS deserve what they have coming to them.Is that a twinge of resignation in your words? Quote:What about the 30,000+ people he employs has he done nothing for them? I'm not saying the man is a saint but he has shown to run some sustainable businesses that employ a lot of people and those businesses tend to succeed more than they fail. Subsitence wages? Yeah, nice. Maybe if he was paying them and treating them the way Costco treats thier workers, I'd be a bit more lenient on my critique of him...
Quote:holy crap you're rambling. summarize this [BAD WORD REMOVED]. LOL... sorry... I just took a long ride on my high horse. I'm just saying that both Hillary and Trump have issues in regards to the treatment of middle-class workers. I just don't buy trump's "MAGA" talking points... That's my TL;DR Quote:lol it's right there in black and white. the report Hillary referred to says he paid taxes three years and had losses in two. nobody "got out of" anything. he obviously spent alot of money somewhere and didn't recoup. Watch the damn show again. She didn't say he doesn't pay taxes.
Quote:And it's not even upsetting. If he wants to get off from paying taxes fine. But don't come here and say how we all live in hell, when you're not willing to pay your fair share. He is a privileged hypocritical bigot who games the American tax system simply because he has the privilege to do so. Just because one can legally get away with something doesn't make it any less immoral. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:He may have claimed losses those years or had carryover losses used that offset the tax owed. If he's being audited by the IRS year after year, there is no way he's "getting away with" anything. Claimed what losses? Trump is a billionaire. No matter what happens to his money he can pay taxes with it. Nothing else matters. If you can pay, you have to pay, no excuses. Someone who is audited by the IRS every year has no business proposing ways to improve America's tax system because he obviously does not know what it is right now. Quote:Claimed what losses? Trump is a billionaire. No matter what happens to his money he can pay taxes with it. Nothing else matters. If you can pay, you have to pay, no excuses. they call it INCOME tax for a reason you're ignorant. you have no idea how common IRS audits can be. it doesn't make somebody a criminal.
Quote:If you don't like it, get rid of cable. There are other options. Not where I live. HOA rules prohibit satellites. I have said this many times. Quote:I don't understand why you attack the person instead of the tax code. I don't hold it against Apple or Amazon or Trump for the level of taxes they pay. I hold it against the politicians who wrote the tax code that allow them to use loopholes to avoid paying taxes, and so should you. we dont even know why he claimed the loss he did those two years. it could just be because they spent alot getting new businesses ready or businesses were unsuccessful. saying it's due to a "loophole" is probably not even true. if he's making money overseas and funneling it to an offshore bank account... ok, that's a loophole. She didn't say he doesn't pay taxes. so he does pay taxes? he doesn't. he does. now he doesn't. make up your [BLEEP] mind. Quote:If he's not paying taxes because of loopholes and such, whose problem is that? If you didn't have to or could pay far less than you do, wouldn't you? And if you didn't take advantage of it wouldn't that make you a bit on the dumb side? Well, for one, he ranted on infastructure being in shambles, he is going to strengthen the military, airports that are third world....it needs to be fixed. How is this fixed? Taxes. He said he was smart getting out of paying taxes. Ok. So, let's fix stuff on everyone else's dime. Fix things with American workers tax money. Smart alright. Just my kinda guy.
Blakes Life Matters
Quote:Well, for one, he ranted on infastructure being in shambles, he is going to strengthen the military, airports that are third world....it needs to be fixed. This is the most annoying thing. The rich always complain about wealth redistribution. Anyone who has been paying attention knows that the wealth has been redistributed from the middle class to the wealthy. No money is going from the top down to us. And that needs to change.
Quote:Well, for one, he ranted on infastructure being in shambles, he is going to strengthen the military, airports that are third world....it needs to be fixed. Quote:This is biased in its own right. Trump was interrupted because he kept try to steal minutes. For the most part Hillary stopped when Lester wanted to move to the next segment. Lester Holt did not tell Donald Trump to shut up during Hillary Clinton's two minutes to answer a question. She had to tell him, "Reset the clock."
his point about infrastructure was that if the federal government is going to invest in something, it should be repairing the infrastructure, not fruitless clean energy where we will have giant windmills sitting still doing nothing. essentially sunk costs.
an entire acre of solar panels can power a light bulb for like 30 minutes. not a good investment.

You can do a lot of things if the 1% stopped redistributing wealth from the country into their own greedy pockets and never contribute to the country that protects that wealth they get to enjoy in the greatest land on earth... Just sayin'... |
