LOL Vegas Odds Colts @ Jaguars*

Quote:We couldn't even stop Hasselbeck last year ..

"Hasselbeck deftly managed his first start in nearly three years, going 30 of 47 for 282 yards with one TD, no interceptions and fooling the Jaguars' defense with a late bootleg that put the Colts (2-2) easily in field-goal range."

"I cherish it," Hasselbeck said. "I never get emotional over anything, really. I got a little emotional running off the field. It was really special. I didn't even expect to play."

<p style="font-family:Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif;font-size:16px;color:rgb(72,73,74);">"For the Jags (1-3), it was another frustrating finish."
Gus: Yeah you know Hasselbeck is very good quarterback and we knew he was capable of these kind of things. We had some good things happen out there, but gave up too many big plays at critical points in the game. We had some things on defense we game planned for but werent quite able to execute. So this week I have to preach the little things, and we got to learn to execute. These are things that ARE CORRECTABLE (Insert Gus smile), and we will correct them (Gus nod).

I like the Jaguars vs the spread here. You see, I have the Jaguars winning 29-28, but this entails Myers being a perfect 3 for 3. If Myers misses one of his attempts, then the Colts win 28-26, but the Jaguars still beat the spread.

Quote:To the portion in bold: You may be right, the Colts may not have much of a D, but I would like to mention that the Colts D did not have a majority of their defensive starters the first two games. (Anderson, Davis, Robinson, Butler, Moore, A. Jones, Geathers, and Green)They finally had their starters back last week and their defense did well against a potent SD offense. (Luck's INT and fumble for a TD directly led to 10 points, which isn't a reflection on their defense).
Eh, I don't know about SD being potent. Missing Gates, Allen, and Woodhead is a lot to overcome. Just because they beat down the Jags on crossing routes doesn't make them potent.

It's fine...we can have differing opinions on SD's offense, however, the Colts held SD's offense to 12 points. An additional 3 points resulted from a turnover in the red zone, and 7 points from a fumble recovery for a TD.

I wouldn't take the Jags I you gave me 20 points...  Clots 30 Jags 10   A British Blowout on the horizon. Andrew Luck might throw for 500 yards.
