I hope you and your family are safe.   The same for everyone here.

A tree once fell on my house and I was home.   If not for a miracle,   with telephone and utility wires bracing the impact of the crash,  who knows what would have happened.  Even in FAR better conditions ( relatively speaking ) than what you are currently experiencing,  storms can be very damaging.

You might have seen Tides information for a different location in Northeast Florida.   One thing in particular I like about that website is they list many different locations,  not just Jacksonville Beach.

4ft fence but it's on the low side of the property so one side is under water the other about 1ft standing. I'm about 6inch of standing water

I think the tides can be different by an hour or so depending on where exactly you're looking even in roughly the same area.  I learned that the hard way kayaking the intercoastal down by butler once.

The worst part is just now hitting Jacksonville.  The eye is now off of St. Augustine.  It looks to me like it might have moved east so the damage might not be as bad as projected.  We'll see the worst winds over the next couple of hours.  If the storm surge is anywhere near what was predicted, we should start seeing it now.

I evacuated yesterday. I'm watching MSNBC, and they just showed the ocean flowing over the dunes in Jax Beach, and into the streets.
