Drafting if we fall out the first 5

Quote:What do people think about Khalil Mack? Is he a reasonable top-10 Pick?
He doesn't get the press playing at the U of Buffalo, a MAC conference school. However, this kid is an impact player, and can play the Leo position. He set the NCAA career mark this year in both tackles for loss and forced fumbles. He was just awarded yesterday with the 2013 Jack Lambert Award as the nation's top college linebacker. So, yes, he is a reasonable top 10 pick.

looking at this now, if the jaguars wind up drafting right around 8-12 slot, I would hope for whatever the best available player is (with premium position in mind. Trenches grade higher) and then maybe trade up to get mccarron if feasible, if not, just take aj with that first rounder.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Every year there are the same QB conversations.
Some of you are just too desperate for anybody but the current QB.  I completely understand the frustration, but
I am not so willing to take huge risks in an attempt to grab our next Gabbert or Leftwich.

Any top ten pick should be an AUTOMATIC UPGRADE AND FUTURE PRO-BOWL player.  There should be little-to-no-risk involved-

so no Florida Gators...

We just went over the fact that defensive lineman and linebackers have a higher top 10 pick bust rate than QB. Sorry, but there is just no such thing as an 'AUTOMATIC UPGRADE AND FUTURE PRO-BOWL player'
