This scheme is doing no favors. Look at Branch in Miami. Hes looking great this year. To sit here and say Fowler is a bust agter 9 games is ridiculous. He was always raw coming out. Gotta let players develop...would help if we didnt run a [BAD WORD REMOVED] scheme too.

 

  I've only seen Miami play once this season.  But when watching Ndamukong Suh on every play when he was with Detroit,   I'm wondering to what extent Andre Branch is benefiting from Suh's presence?   

 

 Having said this,   I certainly think it's way too early to make conclusions about DFJs long term NFL playing career.   It's good to exchange ideas on possibilities and what could have been.   But until DFJ is with a different coaching staff and further away from his injury,   there are too many unknowns.

It is just unfathomable to me how Dave could sit and watch Beasley do that live in person at the combine, not to mention watching all of the college tape, and say "nah I'm gonna pick the other one".

Beasley had a few games early (and late) where he hurried the QB successfully. While he played in every game, he was taken out a lot. Unfortunately, I watch a lot of Falcons football, and Beasley was not good.

 

This year, they've taken him out of the designated pass-rusher position and put him in the SAM linebacker role. This is part of the reason he's having a good year. Fowler's rush has contributed to quite a few sacks. Beasley's rookie year did not.

I've given my insights ad nauseam. Beasley led all rookies in hurries and was like 12th or something close to that in overall hurries. I also watch a ton of Falcons football as I have been one of Vics largest proponents and I have Julio and Coleman in my main dynasty money league. He was as good as you can expect a rookie DE to be. 

 

Dante "personal" Fowler on the other hand doesn't do jack if he isn't stunting, and even lately he hasn't done jack while stunting. His pass rushes look like he is taking off after doing a dizzy bat contest.
