Quote:There was a lot of dream sequency type stuff going on. I thought the same thing. The dream sequences really confused me, but I was told by a friend that it was a vision of the future that somehow either plays into the Justice League movie or the next Batman movie. Apparently there was a symbol on the ground in the dream sequence that revealed the villain for one of those films. He wouldn't reveal who the villain was supposed to be. He told me I had to figure it out. I never did. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I watched Suicide Squad the other night. It was okay. Felt too cartoony for me but some of the acting was decent. Never understood the love for Leto's Joker though. He was just "meh" to me. In fairness he wasn't seen much in the movie though.

As for the Joker, no one will outdo Heath Ledger's version. IMHO he nailed who I see Joker as. Quote:I just rented this movie from Redbox this morning. Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn absolutely stole the show. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. They shouldn't have even put The Joker in a Batman movie until about 2025.

Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn absolutely stole the show.Yeah, we're going to watch it here in a bit and I have a feeling my husband's meh attitude about the movie will change a bit when he sees her. Quote:I saw Batman vs Superman this weekend. Not something I'd ordinarily watch but I thought it was ok for what it was. The story was a little odd, I felt like I had come in at the middle of the movie and attributed it to missing one of the previous flicks in the franchise but somebody told me that's just the way they wrote it. Wierd. Special effects and production values were great but that's kind obligatory for a big budget blockbusters these days. I didn't care for this, either. The only thing I can say good about it was better than the Superman flick that preceded it. But that's not saying much. Lex Luthor was absolutely terrible.

Does anybody look at Jesse Eisenberg and see Lex Luthor? There are so many other great actors out there who would have been very good in that role, but Eisenberg was just the wrong person. It was so bad. On top of that, the story was just kind of flat and overly serious. I really like Marvel movies, because they aren't so serious and the characters are perfectly casts and really interesting. They play off one another so well. D.C. movies are just kind of blah. They're darker in tone, each character is like doing their own thing and I question a lot of their casting choices. Many times, the story takes forever to get off the ground as well. I don't know why they keep employing Zack Snyder. He just isn't a very good director. He's my biggest problem with the D.C. movies. I can't wait to see what Ben Affleck does with the next Batman movie. Letting him direct it was the best thing D.C. has done. Every film he has directed has been solid. She's a good looking woman but I think she deserves a TON of credit for her portrayal of Harley Quinn. She was very funny, charming and off her rocker for this character. I'd like to see her and Leto maybe do their own film together down the road as these characters. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Quote:They shouldn't have even put The Joker in a Batman movie until about 2025. I agree. I think it's an iconic role now. Jack Nicholson made him popular in the 1980s. Then you had Mark Hamil give this character it's proper due and justice voice work wise for years in the 1990s. Heath Ledger took it to another level. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. The casting was pretty off for that one. Marvel has taken the reigns a bit away from DC with just the Avenger and X-Men series in my mind. Deadpool just puts them on another level now. And I think they've done an excellent job with Captain America and Ironman. It's just a shame they can't ever get a good actor to full commit to the Hulk character. It's changed too many times face wise since I was a kid. But as far as balance with seriousness and comedy they've done a great job. Even with characters like Wolverine who has a pretty brutal story line they still manage to add some humor in. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I also liked Will Smith when I didn't think I would. Overall not a bad movie for what it is. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Hugh Jackman is Logan\Wolverine. I can't wait to see 'Logan.'
So last night I watched a documentary movie called Supersonic which is about the UK rock band Oasis.
Great candid footage of an amazing band. ![]() 80% of what I talk about is nonesense.. the other 25% is made up statistics... Quote:So last night I watched a documentary movie called Supersonic which is about the UK rock band Oasis.I was a bit of a fangirl for them when they burst on the scene. That would interest me. Have you seen "Amy" yet? The Amy Winehouse doc? It's very good and so tragic.
As an aside a new Amityville and Aliens is coming out!!
*The new Aliens: Covenant is the sequal to Prometheus whith is suposedly the prequal to Alien. I think I'm in the minority here, but I much enjoyed Prometheus. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

I have not, I've heard it's good. Yeah I was/am a huge Oasis fan.. I remember seeing them at Wembley stadium a few years ago, they were incredible live. Watch it for sure.. you may need an interpreter for the Manchester slang, though. ![]() 80% of what I talk about is nonesense.. the other 25% is made up statistics...
