No. It should never be hard to recruit at a school like Florida, but Mac and co are not good at it.

I do not think its you. i think Mac is a good coach but his recruiting has left a lot to be desired since he arrived.

 

this is actually a big reason id love to see gus bradley get the gators DC job. really good coordinator, fantastic recruiting potential.

The situation isn't as bad as some of the fanbase and the rivals are making it to be. I agree Mac isn't an excellent recruiter. Heard he's going after an elite recruiter in the off season, we'll see. They are still in it for three or four elite recruits. I see them closing out ranked between 10-15. That's a solid class.

Yeah it's not bad at all but as a long time gators fan I just expect better right now.

It would be very hard to lock down the state of Florida with everybody recruiting it. I think the only time it's been close to locked down in modern recruiting is when Urban was at UF. Recruiting has changed so much since 2007. Look at what social media has done. Will satellite camps continue? Seems like more kids are willing to venture farther than before to go to school. Also, the dark and dirty side of recruiting, pay for play.

 

I don't think it's fair to compare Michigan, Alabama and Ohio to Florida. Huge difference in talent level top to bottom and number of guys being recruited nationally. Florida has more guys in the 247 composite top 100 players than all of those states combined. It's not even close.
