It doesn't necessarily have to "get bad" to see the backup. Just suppose Bortles rebounds in 2017 and looks like an MVP, but halfway through the season he gets injured. We need someone who can at least keep our heads above water. That isn't Henne.

We have a guy on the roster now I would like to see become the #2 this off season. Blake is the guy. I'm almost 100% certain Marrone is the head coach because he is willing to start Bortles. Allen is a guy I would love to see get extensive reps in the preseason and if he looks good just keep him.

Me too. Dak Prescott came out of nowhere last year, so we could draft a diamond in the rough. Russell Wilson came out of nowhere in the 3rd round. It's very possible we can find a good QB in this draft. You just never know.

I just don't see a TC type QB in this draft at all. I do think he may be intrigued by a couple of late round prospects though. One guy I'm keeping my eye on is Alek Torgersen of Penn. He's gonna play in the East/West Shrine game. He reminds me a little of Mark Brunell.

Coughlin drafted David Garrard in the 4th round. I would say Watson has a little David Garrard in him. I think he is closer to Quincy Carter though.

Great find NYC. This cat put up some beast type numbers. I'll be honest, I haven't ever watched him play. But here is another example that there are QBs in this draft that can be starter material.

Will be interesting to see how high his stock rises between now and May.

I got a feeling his stock will sky rocket once his name gets out there more. Especially if he has a good pro day and a good combine. Here is a guy that could jump all the way up in the 1st round as players normally start climbing up draft boards.
