Any small town in the Tuscany region in Italy. They are all so charming and beautiful. The two weeks I spent over there was just not enough time. I would love to rent a small loft and just meander around, with nothing to do but drink wine and eat cured meats and cheeses.

If you could spend one month in another city anywhere in the world, which city would you choose?  

 

Assume you don't have to work, and could rent an apartment anywhere in the world to spend one month just living there. 

 

I personally wouldn't go to a "city" but rather a "town".  I've been to many countries overseas and the Caribbean, but there aren't many places that I would want to spend a lot of time in, especially a month.

 

My first choice depending on time of year would be a small town out west or possibly in middle/northwest U.S.A.  Foreign consideration would be given to the area around Norway or Sweden.  I've dealt with and interact with people from both countries on a regular basis, and they are some of the nicest most courteous people that I know.  Another foreign alternative would be somewhere in South America, though I would be reluctant to go to some places.

Going to Napa and Sonoma while spending the week in San Fran at the end of the month. Never been to your neck of the woods but I can assure you there is nothing in this country like the small towns in Italy. That's not a bad thing it's just different.

I've lived in Florida too long. They'd find me dead in a snow drift. But I've read that St. Petersburg (I'm guessing the Russians never call it St. Pete; perhaps Leningrad when they flashback to the old days) is beautiful in the spring.

Same here. I've grown so accustomed to shorts year round that any time spent in truly cold climes seems like a test of will.
