Why are you worried about price when we have $70m+ in cap space? And obviously a safety who has already proven it in the league is a much preferable starter in a win-now season than a third round rookie.

I'll take Tony Jefferson over any safety in this draft.

Before today I said I am pretty confident that both of the best corners in this draft went to OSU. After today I think both of the next two might have gone to Washington. Jones was always high in my #3 but Kevin King really showed up after probably being like 7th or 8th for me coming into today.

  • It's not my money, I don't have this hatred for Free Agents rooted in personal jealousy. I don't like Free Agents because they typically are not very good
  • Tony Jefferson is not a premier player
  • Adams, Hooker, Obi and maybe even Baker are all opening day starters at Safety
  • I don't get the panic over missing out on Free Agents as well as the fear of unproven players, this game is built on young players taking the next guys job.

I honestly think Teez falls to round 2

I don't mind overspending a bit on a FA for just an above average player since we can't address every single hole in the draft, but I agree that none of the FAs offer the upside that Adams does.  His instincts and ability to diagnose plays are what makes him so good.

This is a fair and valid point. I kind of wish the Draft happened before Free Agency for this reason because, it's really a better way to view FA as a way of upgrading by what you were unable to find through the draft

I'm not even sure if he should go in the 2nd...he's not a top 10 CB in this class to me.

Yep, Kevin King barely edged out Ross for the best SPARQ this year. 99.5 percentile.

That would be pretty interesting to see how teams would approach the draft if it was prior to FA.  I think it'd be a bit crazier and even more trades given that their is more uncertainty with who they'd sign in FA.

The best way to win the SB without an elite QB is a beast run game with a great defense

It might be different if there was an RB in relatively the same realm as Zeke in this class.

EDIT: Well Mixon might be...but you know.
