Poe to Visit Jags

Would have been nice to have him here.

I could live with him being a Falcon.

I do not want him in this division at all if he's not with us.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Abry Jones can be just as productive as Poe was for the past couple seasons at least. I agree with you though, id rather poe be a falcon than a clot.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

I wanna see a one year deal. If we sign him. Just looking at this team though IDK where they are going to put all of these guys on the line.

Could go huge on run downs with Malik Poe Abry Calais as the front 4

The fact that we're even interested in another DT has me baffled. Were we planning on switching to a 3-4? I always thought our talent would be utilized better that way with Jackson, Poe/Jones and Campbell on the line with Fowler and Ngakoue on the outside. Then Telvin and Poz/Jack in the middle.

No pain, no gain.

we wont be a 3-4, but our d line will definitely look like a 3-4

The scheme calls for a 3-4 NT.

In case you missed it the memo, the Jaguars DL from left to right basically looks like...

  • 3-4 LDE (aka strongside DE for 5-tech) - Campbell, Woodard, maybe Solomon Thomas?

  • 3-4 NT (zero/one tech) - Jones, Charles, maybe Poe? maybe 5th round NT?

  • 4-3 DT (three/four tech) - Jackson, Day, maybe Jonathan Allen?

  • edge tweener (formerly LEO - 4-3 RDE or 3-4 OLB for 7 or 9-tech) - Ngoukwe, Fowler, Skuta

Poe is/was a beast. I'd love to overpay for his services with the typical 1 or 2 year deal with extra years included as formality.

Yeah as really he is a beast. But wonder how many years can he available and on his A game.

I'm not sure what is confusing people.  Tom Coughlin had a ton of defensive lineman when he was up in New York and it was the reason they won the Super Bowls.  He's trying to load up upfront and I see nothing wrong with it.

Campbell Fowler Jackson Poe Yannick Thomas Jones Day..... That's 8 players ready to contribute if they do select Solomon Thomas. I love it.

Pookie and the Banjo took care of those details.  TTR was the "talent" side of the show.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

It gives something to make topics about. Sides 500 about Blake.

Sometines have to think outside of the box. And FBT is still on ignore for obvious reasons.

I'm on ignore?  How'd you know I posted?

Do you need Pookie and Banjo to show you how the ignore feature works?

ah ha !!   so TTR is pretty much the Lisa Guerrero (from MNF).

So, we're going down to the field to get additional information from Lisa Guerrero on the injury of Peyton Manning.  Lisa, can you give us an update?

Yes, well it looks like #18 on the team in white was carted off of the field and is currently getting his ankle taped up. Back to you.

Thanks Lisa.

Cause you still can see the poster if choose to. If you have anything of substance I would reply otherwise. I would get a warning for no reason again. Other then a your annoying Vendetta.

I am very intelligent. And not a dummy to be kicked off a board I love. Have a great day.

Quote:Heavy and fresh rotation this year on defense in the trenches. This is great to see a lot of effort being sunken into this. We have a lot of veteran depth balanced out with a lot of young talent and returning talent. This should be the most competitive group during training camp if they land Poe now.

And in turn this should also make the offensive line better during contact drills and practices. Very, very cool man. I've pointed it out before but this is what Coughlin did in New York with the Giants. He stockpiled guys like Pierre-Paul, Tuck, Kiwanuka and Omenuria to rotate behind a guy like Strahan who was well established.

Hopefully we do get Poe because as of now we have nobody to rotate with our defensive starters aside from Fowler with Yannick. We have Day who might be able to come in for Jackson, but that's a mismatch. Jonathan Allen would be able to mold himsef after Malik so I can see him being the pick at #4 if we can't get Thomas. Behind Campbell I'm eager to get a look at Woodard, but he's even been on an active NFL roster. Solomon Thomas would be a great fit behind Campbell, but I doubt he's still there at #4. Behind Abry we have only that new guy, Stefan Charles, who looks like training camp fodder, so I really do hope we sign Poe.
