I find it entertaining that most of you guys defend a guy you don't know personally.. You don't in fact know if he is or isn't an alcholic..Their are reports since his college days about this.. Probably why Miss Dukes left him!


In fact one football player on the team said "he was a basket case".. There are pictures of him drinking, tweets about him drinking, and numerous other reports of people seeing him drinking at bars and etc..


Sure it's nothing wrong with having a beer, but if it's affecting your performance on the football field, then maybe waiting till the off-season would be the best idea..



And for the people trying to downplay it, as if it's just beers that he drinks, see Bortles "Fireball" tweet to Ramsey after he was drafted last year!

I think it's funny that you feel the need to attack and slander someone that you don't know.


Giving someone the benefit of the doubt is the quality of an understanding person. Innocent until proven guilty.

I mean there's no reason to be that way or slander him. He's done nothing but commit to doing better. Hiring coaches. Working around the clock. And helping our community at the same time. We can all say this or that about his game but you can't deny he is trying.

It's pointless! You guys gonna find some defense for everything... Bortles is the real loser! He can throw 100 ints in a season you guys will still love him.. It's just sad that after this season most will finally see the light.. And I never said it's wrong for people like me and you to have a drinking problem..

There's more risk to your own reputation for pointing the finger and being wrong than there is a benefit to you pointing the finger and being right. I get the sense he likes to party, but everything I've seen has been relatively tame and nothing that I saw was dated during the season.


I'm more concerned with what I've seen that I can actually quantify and a couple of his comments in interviews and press conferences. I just think you'd be doing yourself a favor if you backed off the drinking thing unless more info comes out.
