***Official 2017 NFL Draft Thread***

Quote:Ugh. Just, ugh. This was a terrible reach. Basically we had no backup for Calais Campbell so we reached for a guy we could have got in the 5th round

Wormely would've been better.

Chargers with Lamp and Feeney... that's focusing on the line. Jesus man...

Quote:Looking at it, Feeney and Elflein aren't true maulers. That's what we need. Siragusa and Asiata in the 4th.

This. Isadora is another name to keep an eye on.

That's what we should be doing.

Quote:I'm gonna trust Coughlin and not freak out. Still have 4 picks in a deep draft.

I'm as big a Coughlin homer as anyone on the board.  But when your greatest need is OL to keep your marginal QB upright and you've already spent draft picks and FA signings on the DL, to pick a no-name DL over quality OL prospects is just plain dumb.

Jags could have had jordan willis, tim williams, dumb. Can never have enough pass rushers

If we go OL in the 4th, I think we'll be okay...

Quote:The point is Smoot. We lost Alualu and needed a guy behind Calais.

Are you proud of yourself for that?

Quote:Seem to remember yannicks production was questioned last year. Hopefully this guy balls out.

I don't remember that.

I was a Yannick fan too, so I wasn't absent from his discussions.

This pick has Khan fingerprints all over it.

I'm thinking we could have waited a round for Smoot. He fits out need well, but he was a reach.

Smoot was a reach... but with a emphasis on the pass-rush, he should step in and help our ability to get to the passer.

His 2015 season led people to believe he'd be a high pick but not sure what happened last year that he fell off so hard.

Did they just throw darts at names, and the dart hit smoot.
