For us international bumpkins these are fairly expectant times. There's:



The French Open


Close out weeks of nat'l soccer leagues (dang you stuck in sixth Spurs)


The FA cup final, Arsenal/Villa (Haves/Have nots)


UEFA championship, Juvi/Barca (Classic Italian defensive mindset vs.the offensively astute Spaniards)


Wimbledon, the tourney of wit


All sufficing well and leading into NFL camp


Go world
Success is a journey, not a destination.  Go all out Mighty Jaguars.

Bizarro, indeed. Roland Garros is in a world of its own. But something about that red clay (and fancy hats Wink make it watchable. Plus it's so unpredictable there, with the highest upset rates in slams, you want to see what happens next.


I left out 'gripping' NBA playoffs, where 1 vs. 2 is almost standard once the dust settles.
