Arrelious Benn

Nobody is mentioning this guy, but if he's healthy he could be a real sleeper to keep an eye on. He's got talent, I think he was a 2nd rd pick, and he's still relatively young with not much wear and tear aside from the injuries. With Blackmon out indefinitely, the WR group just got wide open for that 5th spot.

Lee

Robinson

Hurns

Greene

Benn

Sterling goes to the practice squad or becomes a 3rd TE, Doss takes Sanders' spot in the return game, with Bryan Walters competing for that spot, too...

Honestly, the roster would look much better if our top 3 WRs were Blackmon, Robinson, and Lee -- that's up there with the Packers for the best receiving group in football, but at this point it's all wishful thinking. Benn might be the one to gain because of it, if he's healthy.

He needs to stay healthy.  I doubt he winds up being anything more than camp fodder.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Going to be a tough nut to crack on that 5th WR spot.  He's gotta show a lot to make it.

I'm thinking draft pedigree isn't really a great measuring tool to determine ability.  If it was, Reggie Williams and Matt Jones would have been world beaters.

This ^. Just look at our drafts. Most of the home-runs came from later round guys. The round where players are taken means more to the Salary Cap than to their actual talent or ceiling. He could come in and surprise us. That just makes our WR core that much stronger. I'm ok with that!

GO JAGS!!
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

As I recall, Benn had a big year in Tampa while Greg Olson was the Offensive Coordinator. Tampa's QB played well too and Tampa was looking good. Lightning could strike again and Benn could turn back the clock.

At this point we just don't know, what will happen.

What we do know is that there will be a lot of good competition for roster spots in the WR corps.

Pretty much. Would be very surprised if he made the roster.

He's a camp body who'll compete for the last spot on the roster at receiver. You never want to write a guy off in May, but he's facing pretty long odds.

I wasn't saying he has ability because he was a second round pick although reading it again it sounds like it. My bad. He is big, with decent athletic ability much like sterling I think

There's a reason he's on his third team.  That's all I'm saying.  He'll have an opportunity to prove the other two teams wrong this off season.  I'm not holding out a ton of high expectations that he's going to do much, but maybe he'll surprise us.

He's certainly been putting on a show at TC.

If we keep 6 WRs he may land on the roster. His short appearances in the highlight reels show good stuff.

I think he has at least a 50/50 shot at being the 5th WR if he stays healthy.

Seems like a guy that's been plagued with injuries and has found himself healthy in a new place w/ a great coach...  and he's trying to take advantage. Maybe he will.  Especially if Greene or a RB land the PR spot.

I'm looking forward to seeing him in the preseason. He's been much better at camp than most expected.
