Boselli and Lageman on 1010xl right now

Quote:On Will Rackley....

He is still in the league so you can hardly call that a bad 3rd round selection.  People outside of the Jaguars noticed the play of Linder.  It is never as clear cut or homerisim.
Anger is still in the league and he was a terrible 3rd round selection.

If this O line can get some consistency and nastiness, we could see a whole different team this year. The D was not nearly as bad as the stats show. They just didn't get the help from the Offense they needed. I am scared at how optimistic I am about the current squad. Lucy always seems to yank that football back a split second before Charlie Brown kicks it. My offseason mantra remains unchanged.... Show me on Sunday.
Only a chump boos the home team!

The OLINE only gave up 1 sack last year.  The entire Oline was pro bowl caliber.

Moving forward, I'm not certain how we're going to keep the entire line from last season given the salary cap requirements.

We have 40 million in cap space. I don't think money is an issue.

If you think we're going to have cap space to retain Bowanko, Beadles, and Pasztor over the next 5 years you are only kidding yourself.

If you think we want to keep Paz and Beadles for 5 years, you're being silly.

Cann is Beadles replacement, and I imagine Beadles not being a Jag for longer than a season with his current contract not starting.

Paz is a backup at best, if Parnell or Young develop into real starting RTs, the other is the backup and Paz is gone.

Bowanko is cheap.... so even if he is a backup to Wis, I don't see his cap hit that bad? If he beats Wis and is our starter, Wis is a swing G/C and is well worth is contract.

Lageman is just as much of a homer.

Last night he said Brandon Linder had the best rookie season as a guard he had ever seen.

Years ago, he said akin ayodele was the best rookie pass rusher he had ever seen.

after years of defending anything and everything with a Jaguars logo on it, it's difficult for me to take anything he says seriously now.

Honest to God, I'm not sure what people are expecting here.  You want an unbiased, untainted view of the players?  You get that on a daily basis from other sources and you whine and complain about how unfair it is.  Lageman or Boselli express even the slightest bit of optimism and you trash them for being homers.  Seems some of you have your bases covered either way so that you can complain regardless.

I have my doubts that he said that.

If you don't complain, what's the point of posting?

Linder is the real deal.

I could give a rat's butt about pro-bowl, but the kid can play.

If Cann can match his play on the left side and wiz is even moderately better than Bowanko then the interior line will be quite good.

I just recall him saying that he had major pass rushing potential. I don't remember him saying he was the best he has ever seen.

I do remember on the old Jaguars This Week show that Lageman said that Ayodele had the best Pass Rushing potential on the current roster, but he followed that up with a statement that he would drive him nuts because there were times when he would watch film and say "Akin! Go!!!"

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Ok.

There's people on this board , including myself, that remember hearing him say it.

When he said that Linder was the best rookie guard he had ever seen, I rembered the Ayodele comment again. We've discussed it here multiple times.

I tried to dig up the audio for it, but I couldn't find it.

The point is: he is known for getting carried away with some of the praise.
