I finally got some free time to spend reading up on some of our picks, and in particular, this guy, whom i had never heard of.  Thought I'd share a pretty good write up on him.  What struck me is that he said he probably would have chosen to come here anyway were he not drafted.  Enjoy.

I have a good feeling about this guy.

Thanks for sharing.  Looks like he has all the tools, and we might be keeping an extra TE this year so he has a shot.

Potential Lewis replacement next year if he smoothly transitions to TE and plays well.

He's got the tools physically. Let's hope he puts it all together. Seems like a TE in the making also

Koyack is more in the Lewis mold than Sterling will ever be. Sterling is a move tight end/H-back type, not an inline drive blocker.

Was thinking the same thing. I've seen little tape of Koyack and Sterling, but Koyack seems to be in the mold of Lewis and Sterling seems to be in the mold of Thomas.

The TE group is all of a sudden a nice core.

He's not a Lewis replacement. He's a flex/move TE like Thomas. If there's a lewis replacement/back-up in this draft it's Koyack - but expecting a 7th rounder to develop into a starter is a little optimistic.

I guarantee if we only get 5-6 wins, 90% of the people who are saying they expect that number as part of the teams development will be calling for everyone's head.

After all the investment into the roster and the time for development, if we are still losing more games than we are winning, then there are some serious problems with this team.

Losing isn't pretty. Losing exposes flaws and there are now too many years of acquisition and too many veterans now on this roster to be having the types of flaws that keeps you multiple games below .500.

Just to increase perspective on what a fine TE prospect Sterling is.  Those measurables at TE are just scary.

I think Sterling will be one of those guys potentially along with Sample, Marshall, and Fowler who will be moved around a lot to take advantage of their talents. So we'll probably see him line up multiple places.

Let's all just hope that the NFL game isn't too big, nor too fast for him.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!
