NFL.com post draft Power Rankings

Has the Jags at 27. Seems about right until we prove we've gotten better on the field. Better than being the go-to #32 whipping boy
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Regarding the Jaguars power ranking, while obviously the goal is to be much better than # 27, at this point in time it's a sign of progress compared to the consensus of where the Jaguars were in these type of polls in recent seasons and even earlier this off-season.

I fully expected to see Jax at 31/32 like the post FA list. Detroit is at 11, which to me seems about right, I'd say around top 10. Though I do feel you're better than Cincy and KC which they have listed above you

If the Jaguars get to around 6 to 8 wins this season, next year at this time there's a good chance the Jags will be ranked close to the middle of the teams in the NFL. It often takes a while for those that put together these power rankings to come around to teams that have been down for a long time. I truly believe the Lions should be ranked ahead of the Chiefs at this time because of the difference between the two QBs especially. Being that the teams will be playing in London on November 1 as a Chiefs home game, that should be a good opportunity to measure the teams. While I prefer Matthew Stafford over Andy Dalton, because the Bengals overall roster is amongst the best in the NFL and they made the playoffs the last 4 seasons, I respect that they are currently ranked ahead of the Lions by the writer.

When we start winning, then we will move up more. Until then we shouldn't. We have to prove we've gotten better first.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
CBS has us at 25 and Fox Sports has us at 32.
Of course Fox Sports is know for their hot takes... |
