Best Available in Round 4? Some good defensive tackles still on the board.
|
Value wise, it looks like there are some good options at defensive tackle going into the final day of the draft.
Michael Bennett from Ohio State and Grady Jarrett from Clemson seem to be the near the top of everyone's "best remaining player" ranking. Neither would necessarily fill a "need" on the team. If you believe the chatter, Jarrett was one of the faster rising players in the draft and drew some comparisons to Geno Atkins. Worth noting that Bennett was one of the players that visited the team leading up to the draft. With three teams (TEN, NE, OAK) ahead of them they could be off the board. But it will be interesting to see if one of them is the pick. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Amos, Shaw, Diggs, also look for a rangy FS and a guy who can help in the return game!

If we end up with Michael Bennett in the 4th and Stefon Diggs in the 5th..... I'll pass out from excitement.

If they think they can teach Holliman to be physical, he'd be a great pick and could potentially start for us

I like...
DT Michael Bennett- with Marks initially limited, could be a great pick. WR Stefon Diggs- could be good slot WR, fun to watch, coached this past year by Keenan McCardell. WR Rashad Green- he could be a respectable slot WR, a need. LB Kwon Alexander- good developmental competition for Skuta and ST player now. FS Anyone- not in love with any of them, but it is a need. Maybe convert Josh Shaw. NT/DT Grady Jarrett- disruptive 1 gap player, slightly undersized but can play. QB Bryce Petty- accurate, significant upgrade over Morris, could develop into an NFL starter with patience. OT TJ Clemmings- raw development prospect at ROT with big upside.

Clemmings would be nice. You can never have enough quality big men and he'd be tremendous value in round 4 if he's still available when we pick.

I don't know that Jarrett is the best fit for this defense but I do like the idea of adding Michael Bennett.
Several FS prospects to look at, as well as WRs. This might be the round where Dave gets his slot guy. I predict either WR, FS, or DT with the next pick.

Quote:If they think they can teach Holliman to be physical, he'd be a great pick and could potentially start for us Given the theme of our draft so far (physical players), I'm not sure Holliman fits the profile lol. He's definitely intriguing though.
