Ajayi ?

can someone explain what the issue with Ajayi is ? I've heard the pundits refer to a "leg injury" - do they mean the ACL from 2011 ? All seems a bit odd, but if he falls further, it's all very convenient for the Cowboys...

Yeah, the ACL. It's been a lingering concern throughout his college career, and spending a high draft pick on a running back with a bad knee is apparently not considered a good business decision by NFL teams. I think he'll come off the board pretty quickly in round four, where even getting three good years out of him before he's forced to retire would be considered a good pick.
What Mayock said in passing is that some people say he is "bone on bone" on his knee. Some of you here may have heard that from your Doctor right before they suggested a total knee replacement.

I remember Jesse Williams having a similar slide a couple years ago and he's never seen the field in Seattle because of his knee.

If we're going to gamble on anyone, just gamble on La'el Collins.

La'el Collins in the seventh round would be amazing

Quote:La'el Collins in the seventh round would be amazing why even wait that long? He's already clearly the outlier in terms of talent right now. I hope they held a meeting last night and talked about Collins. We could play a number of positions and he could be a pro-bowl player for us.

Quote:La'el Collins in the seventh round would be amazing His agent already made it clear that if he wasn't drafted yesterday that they'll withdraw from the draft and re-enter next year.

Quote:His agent already made it clear that if he wasn't drafted yesterday that they'll withdraw from the draft and re-enter next year. May as well be career suicide. I get that it's his choice but bad choice IMO. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:La'el Collins in the seventh round would be amazing No it wouldn't. He won't sign. Better off trying to negotiate UDFA, where you get to define the terms completely. If you're even interested at this point...

Its a very good choice tbh Quote:If he's allowed to re-enter next year he won't go later than the second. Its a very good choice tbh After he's sat out a full year, you think he's going to be a 2nd rounder? I really don't think so but we'll see.
I would sign him as an udfa and give him 2nd round signing bonus with the caveat that he has to be cleared by the police. If not, all the money returns to the Jags

If Jay Ajayi only is able to play for 2 or 3 seasons but contributes at a 2nd Round pick level, I think the Dolphins would have received good value for when they drafted him.
