I wanted to wish good luck to everyone's team in the draft. Here's to the AFCS improving this weekend.

May all my fellow AFC South fans watch their team get perennial pro-bowlers.
That always, somehow, seem to get beaten by the Jags. It's gotta be our turn sometime, right?
Good luck to you guys too. We need the AFCS to get some respect. Lets all knock the clots off their perch we've all handed them for years.

I am really interested in seeing where Houston goes with their pick.

Well looks like the Colts fans agree on their selection

Mariota - Nice but does he fit?
Fowler - Toptier (Amari, Leonard, Fowler) Raw but perfect fit Johnson - Indifferent Dorsett - Good player but horrible selection from needs perspective We show less advertisements to registered users. I also think ILB would make a ton of sense for them in the second round. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
I was a little disappointed when the Texans picked Kevin Johnson but after thinking about it I see it as the right pick.
Jjo is getting old and only has one more year on his contract,we'll now have to face not only Luck but Mariota and Bortles.
It's a good pick for you guys. WR's in the AFCS are no joke. Gotta have good corners to keep up.
Quote:Mariota - Nice but does he fit? He doesn't seem like the Kurt Warner/ Philip Rivers type of QB that Ken Whisenhunt had past success with. That was one of the major reasons why I didn't think Marcus Mariota would end up with Tennessee at # 2. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:So what did you think? At the very least, the Texans were paper thin at CB going into the draft. At least now, they have a much better chance at matching up in Nickel type of situations. That's something that definitely will be needed against Andrew Luck and co. In addition to ILB, I can also envision the Texans going for a WR or S in Round 2. With one of these positions that they don't address in Round 2 a very realistic possibility in Round 3.

I read Andy Reid had something to do with that pick. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...ep-mariota
Quote:So what did you think? Yea, it doesn't look good. But then again, neither has Houston's secondary for a few years.

Quote:So what did you think? Why would Kareem Jackson be in trouble?.. He's the best corner on their roster (over Jonathan Joseph) and has come into his own and is one of the better corners in the league. We just signed him to a new contract a month and a half ago.. Also Houston wasn't paper thin at corner back either.. They actually have quality depth there. Johnson was just the BPA and this was a move for the future when Joseph moves on. You can never have enough good corners, but they did have a good group before this selection.. They did lead the league in turnovers.. All they did was add to that group and Johnson is coming into the perfect situation where he won't be pressured to start right away and can learn the ropes from two quality vets. He's Jonathan Joseph's future replacement.. Not Kareem's |
